We booked for lunchtime, and each went for the build your own board platter (5 items) of cold meats and/or cheeses. I'm not normally 'sated' by such dishes, but I have to say it was both filling and delicious, with a wide range of excellent cheeses and cold meats. We were particularly taken with the Sheffield forge cheese with hendersons relish and the Yorkshire pastrami (beef brisket), we also ordered a bottle of Montepulciano to go with it and topped off with a coffee before we left. Service was excellent, the young lady serving us was thoroughly professional and knowledgeable about the delicatessens produce. Only slight downside is how chilly it is on a cold day, once the entrance door is opened. Nonetheless an excellent experience. The food was amazing. We had two different fondues between four of us with so many wonderful accompaniments! We were stuffed!!! Great to find Orange Wine available too! Great atmosphere. Table and bar and outside seating. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They clearly were enjoying their work and were proud of the food /drinks on offer. Great choice of quality drinks too. The only thing needed are blinds for those of us sitting facing the window. Me, my partner & dog came for the fondue Sunday roast which was just amazing food & the best roast we've ever had, but also an experience with dipping everything in cheese! We had great customer service from Ed who greeted us at the front. He served us and had a great conversation with us about his rescue (also greeting our rescue so kindly!).
