I went to Ollivers on the 25th of March with my parents and grandparents to celebrate my mother's 50th birthday. From the moment we arrived, Steve the host and his small team of staff were wonderfully warm, friendly and attentive. It is the sort of welcome that one would receive when going to a friend's house for dinner and we all felt as though that were the case.
The expertly balanced starters were, whilst a perfect sized portion for beginning a meal, piled high with whichever ingredient they were championing, whether it was my crayfish and prawn cocktail or my mother's chicken livers, all in great supply and cooked to perfection.
Both palate-cleansers were deserving of the name - the apple sorbet in particular was exceptional, smooth and ever so slightly floral.
The main courses again were perfectly cooked and the accompaniments to each meat, poultry, fish or vegetable dish married together perfectly. The lentil cassoulet that came with my blush-pink lamb was to die for, and the vegetables that came with the main courses were both delicious and plentiful!
Finally, the desserts were read to us by the ever engaging and personable Steve in such a way that it was a Herculean task to decide between them. The trio of desserts most definitely hit the spot for me - slightly bitter chocolate and Quantro mousse, sweet brandy-snap basket with banana and butterscotch sauce and a crunchy, chewy, fruity pavlova, all in bite-sized portions so definitely guilt free!
In short, this restaurant is nothing less than a perfect dining experience, professional, elegant, beautiful food with all of the comforts and humor of a dinner party with your best friend.
Well done Ollivers, you've definitely...

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for families or anyone looking to enjoy a meal in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely fabulous! Every dish we tried was a perfect blend of fine dining quality with the comforting flavours of home-cooked meals. The menu offers a wide variety of options, catering to all tastes while maintaining a high standard of quality and presentation. You can tell that each dish is made with care and fresh ingredients, resulting in flavours that are both rich and satisfying. The attention to detail was evident in every bite, from the perfectly seasoned appetizers to the decadent desserts.
What really sets this restaurant apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, genuinely friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. It’s rare to find a place where the service feels as good as the food tastes, but this restaurant nailed it.
Whether you’re looking for a family gathering spot or just a wonderful meal out, this place is a gem. A perfect mix of homely charm and gourmet dining—can’t...
Read moreWow what an experience. I have lived in Seaford for 5 years and this was the first visit. The set menu works extremely well and is explained in great detail by the enthusiastic host. The restaurant is small but when you are in and sat down, it didn't feel small at all and had a great atmosphere.
The food is simply devine, from the appetizers the moment you sit down to the petit fours and coffee at the end of the meal. The wine selection is very good too. Whilst there we had the 3 course menu which is really 6 courses when you count everything that comes to the table. The deserts all sounded fantastic and it was hard to choose from the list.
If you are in Seaford and want a fine dining experience then this is it. I think we have found the place to be to celebrate special occasions in the family. Thanks Oliver's, we...
