GLUTEN FREE! For all those like my wife. The food, the food! Next time I'm taking pictures, the presentation is perfect. OK the nitty gritty. The 1st time we went they had a new chief and like anyone at a new job they were slow and it did take longer then it should, but wow, when the food came my and, mouth, eyes and ears were watering. I'll be honest, I would never had thought the food would be this exceptional, everything was like it just came off the stove, nothing under done everything steaming hot. The second the food took an appropriate time to arrive. The staff is very friendly and look after you. Now you asked about the gluten free. Well my wife who can not have any gluten what so ever, has not had any problems at all, this is always an issue when we eat out at somewhere new. We have been twice snd neither time did she have any problems. The menu being Mexican is really mainly free of gluten so it's easy pickens for those with the old gluten allergy. Oh, the cheesecake, well it is no longer gluten-free, really sad to say. My wife had just plopped a fork full in her pie hole when I released it had a cookie crumb base and being that she has celiac disease, well we caught it on time, and she spat it out. Oh yeah, live music locals on the weekends.

Visited the restaurant on 09/10/21 Absolutely terrible service, I’m not from Lichfield but had taken children out for the day as had not seen them in a long while. Staff were really slow to serve drinks approx 15 mins We ordered food and one of the children had theirs served way before the others at least half an hour before before everyone else and without the chips we had ordered. We sat patiently waiting for our food meanwhile a couple who came in after us were served before us much to my shock in total we had waited nearly 40 mins for food so I asked the waitress how long, she replied a few mins then we were served finally. I stated that the chips had been missed with the first meal and she said she would tell the manager. I told him we had waited nearly 40 mins and the chap , slim build , short hair and glasses . He accused me of lying and said it was 25 mins . He clearly needs to learn to tell the time let alone the truth little did he realise one of my children had taken a picture of the drinks which stated the time . Our whole day was ruined. Would never visit again or recommend. Manager didn’t even say sorry. Also the rice I had was lumpy and stuck together at the bottom of the plate.

…atmosphere was a little dull unfortunately, no music, felt quite bland, had almost a ‘warehouse’ feel with pipes running along the ceiling & the football on at the back - however it was a quiet Monday night….? Service was also very slow - waited over an hour & a half for our mains (we were served a starter in this time) - I was nearly at the point of asking, when the waitress came with our meals. Dishes were mixed - nacho starter had a LOT of cheese - could be to some taste, but way to much for us. Oily & saturated. Tacos were ok, salad was a little shrivelled. …Chilli jam chicken & halloumi tacos were again very oily, small pieces of halloumi & no heat to the chilli…but sweet & tasty. Quesadillas were good. We had the Monday/Tuesday night ‘set menu’ - this consisted of a reduced menu; 2 courses for £17.50. I won’t be recommending, it lacked atmosphere & I wasn’t overly impressed with the food - having said this, if I was informed it had been pre-booked for another meal with friends I wouldn’t refuse…

I recently visited Toluca Lichfield with a group of friends and have to say, I was very impressed with this little place. I'm the only one from the group with dietary requirements due to having coeliac disease and being vegetarian. The menu had lots of gluten free options, many of which were vegetarian too. The staff were very helpful when ringing up prior to booking to explain their processes. The lady on the phone told my partner that they pride themselves on being inclusive to dietary needs, so we felt confident in going ahead and booking. Upon visiting, our server was very helpful with taking my order and explaining what was available for me. The portions were a good size and the food was lovely and flavoursome. My food came out with a little gluten free flag too so I feel the best care was taken when preparing my meal. Really enjoyed my food and felt safe as a coeliac here. Would visit again for sure and habe recommended to friends and my local coeliac group.

My family and I recently visited Toluca Mexican Bar & Grill for the second time, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped in, we felt welcomed and at home. The flavors danced on our taste buds. Every dish was a celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos, enchiladas, and guacamole were simply heavenly. And let’s not forget the amazing desserts—they were like a sweet symphony! Family-Friendly Atmosphere, Our kids were in their element. The vibrant decor and friendly ambiance made it a memorable outing for the whole family. The staff went above and beyond. Not only were they friendly, but they also helped us navigate the menu. Their recommendations were spot-on, and we appreciated their warm hospitality. All this goodness came at a pocket-friendly price. Toluca Mexican Bar & Grill has won our hearts. It’s a place where flavors collide, laughter echoes, and memories are made. We’ll be back for more!

A Mexican night out in Litchfield: We’d arrived mid afternoon at our hotel so thought we’d walk to Toluca before dinner later on. We enjoyed our mid afternoon cocktails: French Margarita and El Chapo for me. Back at 6.30 for dinner with another El Chapo and a bottle of red wine. The nachos we ordered to start with were a real disappointment, seeming to be soft and stale. I think our nachos were left over from lunchtime as even the cheese was stuck to the paper and couldn’t be separated. The shared main course of burritos was much better and we couldn’t eat it all. My ice cream desert was enjoyable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and with live music, overall it was an enjoyable evening. The manager saw me limping to the toilets which were upstairs and ushered me into the downstairs disabled toilet.
