We were looking for a quick bite whilst we waited for the train & Drill didn't disappoint. The interior is cool (aircon) & traditional, with modern bench seats & tables. Outside seating is a huge metal bench seat with small tables & chairs, these are in a shaded off the main Rd court yard. We decided on two breakfast baps with OJ, egg & hash browns then mushrooms & hash brown. They arrived in minutes, fresh, hot & very tasty. Hash browns fluffy & crispy not saturated in oil. Egg was perfectly cooked. Mrs S loved the mushrooms too. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful, the cost was very reasonable & all in all a great place to eat. We'd definitely go back for food again.

Our first visit to The Drill, all the staff are polite friendly and helpful. The building is a stunning piece of architecture and it's immaculate everywhere! However the only reason and it's the most important one of why we won't return, are the acoustics. With respect we've been to thousands of gigs all over Europe but at The Drill the acoustics are very poor and you know instantly, the actions of the musicians also tell you that too. Thin, empty and trebly, at times serious feedback and echoes. But I'll leave it up to you to decide.

My first time at The Drill last night, Londoner now living up here. Been following Alabama 3 for too many decades now. Last night was as good a venue as I’ve been in. Band on form, great sound system and acoustics, intimate like having them in your front room, loos clean as a whistle, bar was great, staff were brilliant, low key security, easy entry. Just perfect. 👌 Sleaford mods next. The Drill is perfect. Well done 👍🏻 Totally recommend this venue. Some great music scheduled.

My partner came along to Glory Days at the Drill. The video attached to this review is the view he got from the disabled area in the venue. I realise when booking an accessibility chair you aren’t guaranteed an unobstructed view and it tells you this on the website, I still feel it’s a disappointing area as people just crowd in front of you. I will say the staff here were very accommodating and friendly to my fiancé hence three stars.

Went to see Jack Broadbent. He was fantastic, refreshing, and a new style of playing. The venue was also fantastic. Really good atmosphere, nice bar and great staff. I had a +1 ticket for my carer and the staff saw me in safe and sound in my wheelchair. We are back again for more in the near future. Highly recommend this venue, I wish we had found it earlier.
