The team from The Victoria have completely hit a winner with their latest project at The Jolly Brewer. The refurb is without a doubt one of the best and most transformational I am yet to see. I have a feeling that they might serve Camden here (the pics will show you what I mean). I popped in on Jam Night (Wednesday's from 7ish) and the place was packed. An electric atmosphere with (obviously) live music. They have an amazing beer and spirit selection... Rattler ciders on tap (the only place in Lincoln) Camden (IPA, Lager AND Stout), among others, all the Whitley Neill gins, decent vodka selection, loads of Dead Man's Fingers and other rums and a decent selection of whiskeys too. Prices are very reasonable too. I can't wait for my next visit.

Great music venue well done to the lads from the Sherlocks for taking on the pub and for doing what they've done with the place. It really embodies the music scene over the ages. Great quotes from iconic bands and musicians dotted around the place. The art work is really cool and we especially loved the Abbey Road corridor. As for the bar, the beer and drinks selection is great vast and will suit anyone's taste.

Great atmosphere in here, loved the decor and live music. We went in on a quieter wednesday evening and they still had the football on out the back and music going on inside. Nice to see the amount of effort put in for the regulars. Bet it's bouncing on a weekend. Get yourselves down for a pint or two. I'll certainly be back when next in the area.

The owners have a bully attitude. They’re always deleting comments to suit their bias and are only in this for the money and not the community as a whole.

They put acts on that have previous domestic abuse charges then threaten to pull an event designed to raise money for a domestic abuse charity. When questioned about it they would rather ban you, speaking from experience!

Further more the place just stinks because of the toilets and lack of investment in them. I used to be a regular at the Jolly Brewer and had high hopes of them bringing the old brewer back but we’ve all been let down.

Support local pubs but...

the venue is really good, one of if not our favourite pubs to go to in lincoln, really big choice of drinks and the staff are always amazing not to mention the events like quiz nights.. only thing i could see being improved is the audio, was not the best at the all dayer yesterday the volume of the drums was way too high drowning out all the other parts of the band, got so bad at one point that the headliner of the event actually quit half way through due to the issues. that being said it was the only not so great experience and i will still be coming back regularly, please just fix the sound engineering for...
