The Strait and Narrow — Restaurant in Lincoln

I cannot believe I had not left a review until now. Where to begin...

This bar became my local watering hole while I lived in Lincoln to complete my masters at the uni. I believe by the time I had left Lincoln I had tried around half of the cocktails on the menu, not a small accomplishment considering the variety. Some might see such large menu and think that they must have cut back on the quality to develop so many drinks, but nothing could be further from the truth. Every cocktail I have ever had at the Strait has been carefully prepared and the recipes are well thought through before they are served on the menu.

You might think by all my focus on the mixed drinks that that is all there is to find at the Strait, but again that would be false! The craft brews that are on tap and behind the bar are also delightful, and well worth the stop for a quick half pint on the way down Steep Hill.

However, if you are like me, the reasons I go to the Strait are twofold, their Whisky and their staff. The Strait has the finest Bourbons available in the world (confirmed by this American). I would gladly pay the cost of a transatlantic flight to go back and have a single of the Pappy Van Winkle that they keep on the top shelf. But it would feel incomplete if I did not have it served by one of my friends behind the bar. The men and women who work at the Strait have always made me feel at home there, and I gladly say that I left a few very good friends in Lincoln and shed many tears in the parting.

In short, this is the pub if you want the best pint, the best cocktail, the best single spirit, and the best...

Lovely evening out. Straight and Narrow has over 100 beers which in itself is impressive. They do beer sales as well (we got some 3.95 craft cans that should DEFINITELY have been closer to the £7 mark each), the staff were fantastic and couldnt have done more for us, and on top of the hilarious and very tongue in cheek celebrity posters advising on their favourite cocktails, Straight and Narrow have figured out their way around social distancing by installing a free landline phone on each of the tables. This place is always on the list of places to visit when on a night out or just for a great cocktail! But due to the current situation of COVID and my 30th birthday being in lockdown I decided to use their "Strait Crates" service and order cocktails to my home. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I ordered Espresso Martini, South Pacific and Ameretto Sours and I can say they were all amazing! I loved that you just had to shake with ice then serve! They even came with their own garnishes! I would definitely order again, their customer service was impeccable and delivery was extremely prompt. Would highly recommended!!...
