Our second time visiting and it was such a wonderful last minute evening. We booked 40 mins before going, and were fully welcomed, despite a busy Friday eve- we would not have known considering how cool, calm and collected all the staff were. They were so effiecient, smiling and friendly with a good balance of discretion and professionalism. A brilliant armosphere, with a heartwarming mix of young and old patrons, and birthday paties going on, it was beautiful like an anthropmorphic snapshot of happy families. Beautifully furnished, light, and airy restaurant, with wide windows opened in summer- felt like being on holiday. The food is delicious and hearty, and you can tell the chefs enjoy themselves and put their heart in to the food. It's an open kitchen and you can see them have fun together and smiling, and getting involved in birthday celebrations which is great. My partner had the steak, and it was the most flavourful and well-cooked we had in a long, long while, maybe even years. It's difficult to get REALLY good steak these days, everywhere does it bland, but this place SMASHED it for flavour, texture, & juiciness ( I worked in the food industry and on farms so I know a good steak when I taste it). The waiting staff are all friendly, smiling, and attentive at the right moment, and know when to leave you to chat or when to attend. The staff all seem really happy and get along well, and have fun together which is a MASSIVE sign of a well run restaurant, and as a customer it really puts me at ease and relaxes me. Sometimes I feel awkward or uncomfortable in restaurants, but not here at all, and that's because the staff are so relaxed, happy, and natural and the food and drink are great. I love this place and it's 10 mins walk from my door. Hidden gem, I'm so lucky. Mike, Seb, and Mehmet were just excellent. All the...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Bella Cucina on my birthday in August 2025 and we were impressed from the moment we entered the restaurant. The atmosphere and decor was so welcoming and the staff were so attentive to our needs. My wife uses a walking stick because she has RA and I had asked for a suitable seating location which the restaurant happily sorted for us. All of the staff were so polite and during our meal we must have been asked about 20 times if everything was all right and if we needed anything else. They couldn’t have done more to ensure we had a great experience. The food was excellent. I have eaten in many Italian restaurants up and down the UK but this was something else. We had the Gamberoni king prawns and the Bresola beef with salad and Parmesan shavings for starters and then the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Orecchiette Napoletane for our mains. Each dish was perfectly prepared and the flavours were truly something special. We accompanied them with two bottles of an organic Sicilian Grillo white wine which was a real find. I highly recommend you try it. Mehmet, the manager was such a welcoming host and he and his staff looked after us so well. If you get the chance to visit this gem of a restaurant in Rose Lane, Mossley Hill, Liverpool I guarantee you will want to go again. We...
Read moreHands down the best italian restaurant in Liverpool. Food is always amazing here, from the pasta to the risotto and the pizza and garlic bread too. The service really sets this place apart as every time we have been the staff are friendly, courteous and professional. Nothing is ever felt to be too much trouble. Thank you for helping make my Aunts 90th birthday a special one today! The atmosphere inside gives the feel the restaurant is smart but relaxed, which is owing to the way it's been decorated and a nice buzz of activity from the open plan kitchen area. To cap it off the desserts are really good, as is the coffee. Prices are very reasonable and great value considering the quality of food, we don't ever feel like we're being gouged like other italian restaurants in the aigburth area. This is quickly turning into our favourite place to eat out for special occasions or just a nice...
