Would give this place a wide berth if I was you. The Managment are so two faced it’s unreal. Went for tea there at 7pm. Was told abruptly that kids was not aloud in after 8pm which was fine as they r the rules. Ordered our food. Got the food wrong. Thought oh we’ll mistakes do happen. Order a drink on the app. Waiting 10 mins hasn’t arrived. Partner went to the bar to see where it was, was told that we wasn’t having our drink as we had kids with us and they close in 5 minutes for kids. But ordered drinks 10 minutes prior. But accepted the order and payment. So they waited untill 5 minutes before kids had to be there to tell us no we couldn’t have the beer we ordered. After that I said could I have a refund please. It was like “yer it’ll go back on ye bank card” in a really rude attitude. So finished our first drinks waiting to go. Sent my little ones toilet. Then I went to the toilet. As walking to the ladies. I see said woman who had a awful attitude talking to a set of other customers about what I said to her. I was shocked that she was so two faced and when I walked over to her to say erm excuse me r u talking about me. She then said no I wasn’t. But I stood there and listened to her gossip about me to them. One thing is if your unhappy with a customer then fair do’s but one thing is make sure ye don’t get caught slagging that said customer off to other people in the pub. Wouldn’t go near this place ever again. The woman in charge don’t know her name but she’s a very rude woman.

Was told that the refund would go back on to my card in the next few days as they cancelled it and gave me a receipt. I’ve checked again today and the payment has gone through to them it didn’t bounce back at all.

Just wanna say if they would of handled the situation better I wouldn’t of wrote this. But hearing the woman talk about me to other customers while I was there and her back was to me she didn’t know I was there was something awful. Then to say she didn’t after I heard her just wasn’t very nice. I spoke to her at the table as well when she walked past and said I found that really belittling what u did infront of other staff and customers and she just shrugged her shoulders turned around and walked away with out even saying sorry.

Pre booked a large table of 10 with a high chair. Arrived and were put in the furthest end of the eating area with barely any access for a pram and no high chair. No problem I can carry my own. Upon ordering food got told 45 minute wait, didn’t understand why when it wasn’t too busy. Staff members sat down on the bar, we were there 2-3 hours and the only time the tables around us were cleared of the dirty food/plates was when I told a staff member who was that really rude and said ‘I’ve only just come in’. Food came out luke warm kids meals were last out which unusual kids weren’t pleased. Dishes weren’t cleared after we had eaten ordered 2 kids ice creams and an adult pudding and waited that long we ended up cancelling them, told 2 members of staff we had to leave (we had children with us) and still got charged for the puddings. Ended up buying ice creams from the sweet shop next door. Picture attached is the bar as we were leaving after I’d told staff the tables around us were dirty. Used to find the food reasonable in here and after the refurb thoight we'd come in and check it out. Gets there for around 5 to be told not taking food orders yet chef is on his break which is fine we all get a break, the place wasn't really busy so upon ordering food no mention of a wait it was only hearing another customer moaning about a 45 minute wait on food we found out, ours took 40 minutes which id forgive if it was nice or even ok. My dish consisted of louisiana chicken tenders and a chicken fillet with fries and garlic bread. Tenders came with no sauce, burnt to the point chicken was rubbery, the fillet had literally just come out of a vat of oil, and the garlic bread how anyone can't cook garlic bread, it was soggy like it had been in a couple of minutes. My partners food only came with half the chicken ordered and was as burnt as mine. The refurb looks great, can't tell if the chef was just having a bad day or he can't cook chicken and chips but it was enough to make me never go back for food again. Nice atmosphere for a...
