I was hoping to have a drink seeing the new pub that had opened in Old Swan was open for another 45 minutes. We walked half a mile only to be told at 9.40 pm that last orders had been taken already despite the fact the door was open and there where people sitting enjoying a drink. Walked in asked for a pint. Angry barman said can’t you see shutters are down in a very aggressive tone. The door was wide open at 9:30 pm.
