I booked the restuaramt for a group of 12 people, lovely setting but service and the food were a let down. A very frosty lady initially attended our table and was very kurt in telling us we could not order some garlic bread for the table as they were too busy, her whole attitude made you feel unwelcome snd uncomfortable, i guessed she must be an owner as im sure an employed professional would never be so rude. Picture Basil Faulty to get an idea of what i mean! I personally had cause to request a change of meal because it simply wasnt cooked well and didnt taste nice. I asked a different member of staff (very freindly) if it could be changed for something else which she was happy to do. Shortly after, an older gentlemen, who im assuming was also an owner, possiblly the husband of the rude lady, came over to me to tell me he would not be removing the item from the bill (i didnt ask him to) just because i didnt like it, and pointing out to me how much of the meal i had eaten ( 10% at best haha). I said i was happy to be charged for the dish if thats what he wants to do, just dont charge me for the replacement, which he did. The replacement dish was seabass and that was very nice. On the whole the food was OK, just not great. My friends and i still had a great evening inspite of the poor service, we actually found it quite commical as we all shared the comparison to faulty towers 😅
Note to the owners.. your younger serving staff are a credit to customer service but the older lady and white haired gentleman are relics of poor service from a...

The bar staff on her own seems to be doing a great job has the pub starting to get busy but she has it all under control plus the pub smells fine it’s clean n tidy so they definitely keep on top of that had it was rammed last night so credit where credit is due there’s also an upstairs not sure if that is open or opens at certain times but no complaints from me at all it’s just an all round decent pub in a...
Read moreGreat bar and music was brilliant for an entertaining night.. slightly marred on the end by the bouncers who have no idea how to assess a situation.
We were two couples having a pleasant night with a few drinks, one of our party wanted to take a picture with the Betty Boop figure in the window... Soon as she did that the bouncer pounced and told her to get down now from that area in an extremely rude and aggressive manner! The bouncer totally over reacted, it's not like she was drunk or staggering around, she tried to explain she only wanted to take a picture... However, the bouncer just seemed to bark orders and told her to get out from the area until the DJ came back.
Shame the bouncers seem to react in such a way without actually seeing what is going on, there was no need to speak to a customer in an aggressive manner and we promptly left as we didn't feel we wanted to spend any more money in that...
