Firstly the cost. It really does depend on when you go as to how much money you will fork out. Friday and Saturday evenings mean you can be spending an extra £5 per person compared to cheaper times.
One of the things I really hate, and happens in other places is the "Oh sorry I just put it through"
We tried to use the blue light discount, and because we asked after she had hit a button it could not be applied.
This could be done by refunding and charging at the new rate, but no.... That looses them money and won't do that. One reason why we won't go back.
The food, the food was good, not as big a selection as you would think, but enough to make you think you travelled to at least 2 different countries.
The pizzas claimed to be 4 types, but you would be hard pushed to tell them apart visually.
The staff. This is where I think the place shines. Apart from the payment part they were attentive and rapid. In a place like this members of the public think it's ok to leave a mess, lack any care for other people and are in it for themselves. The amount of times the ice-cream machine was over flowing with ice-cream in the overflow tray was shocking. No it was not one over flow left for hours, it was a new one left by some selfish punter. But the staff were there to clean up and keep everything tidy. You could walk up to the food stations and feel like you were always the first person there, never any left spillage, dropped tatta tots, or anything like that. It was always cleaned up way before you even noticed. This I feel is a great thing to be proud of.
The robots.... There were robots? Yes, you most likely would not have seen them. They are not even spoken of. When we were looking to go, we were told "the robots serve you!". Now you could go the route of the staff being robots due to the nature of their job, however, no, they are not the robots. Think robot vacuum cleaner with trays stuck to the top of it. I don't know how the service works, but it may be an app, or even if there is an extra cost to this service, but basically the robot turns up with drinks. I would suggest think ahead, because for the robot to travel 20 metres takes an age. Not because it's slow, it's because it has to stop and apologise every 10cm because good ol' Joe Public don't care about them and keep cutting it up, and the sensor processes it as an obstruction and has to stop and play a random apology in a cute voice. I will tell you now, when AI takes over those robots are gonna be taking names.
I would not say it's a bad place, just a bit pricey for what it was. Even at the cheaper times it's still a fair bit of eating to get your...
Read morebooked this restaurant for my family for my dad's birthday and he is undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. As he had a chemo session on 16th Feb I booked a table for afterwards to cheer him up. I put on the booking that it was my dad's birthday but nothing was said when we arrived. When I payed the bill for 4 people upfront I queried the amount charged as I was not given an itemised bill just the amount owing. I was taken aback to see I'd been charged a service charge before I'd even received any service! I was then told that this was optional but if you don't tell people about it how on earth is it optional? I asked for the charge to be removed as I completely disagree with the way it is hidden from customers. We were enjoying our meal but the dirty plates were stacking up on the table and no one was clearing them. We waited white a while and eventually I cleared the plates myself onto another table. A little while later a waitress came over to the table and said to me,quite aggressively, don't put the plates on another table, I will get to them. When I explained we had been sitting with dirty plates for quite a while and no one had been to clear them meaning we couldn't continue our meal she snapped that she was on a break. Without the benefit of being clairvoyant how on earth were we supposed to know? You have a time limit on your table anyway so are you supposed to sit at a table piled with dirty plates and not get anything else from the buffet? She then made a point of clearing the table, removing everyone's dirty plates except mine which she left. The experience really upset my dad on his birthday. When you are undergoing chemo the last thing you need is a surly and rude server. This lady has no place whatsoever in the hospitality industry and ruined what should have been a happy occasion. She was large build with tight clothing and dirty blonde hair so you are aware of who she is. I would like to add we came to this restaurant the week before and the waitress we had, young black, was an absolute delight and the polar opposite to the experience on the night...
Read moreThis has to be the worst restaurant in Liverpool The place is tacky and cheap In decor, tables aren't cleaned properly The food is fresh from the freezer and uses chef mic It is cold as sits under Luke warm lamps, everything tastes of dirty dishwater and is low-quality content The alcohol isn't ice-cold and mostly flat. The waiting on service is fast and rushed, yet none of them seem happy. It's loud and brash and this is no different than a canteen in school in the 70s, other than the food was better then I had the roast It was cold, frozen and heated up, with 0 taste, carvery meat was over-salted and dry potatoes are frozen pieces of something with salt and inedible The gravy was cold and tasted like a drain, the carrots were ok. Partner had a selection of Chinese The noodles were cold and again funny taste, he left them also had spring rolls, which were frozen and tasted terrible, the ribs looked like they had been eaten with 0 meat on, then covered in some dry salt, beef was hard and rubbery Son had chicken tikka which was like a brick, dry and hard And wouldn't eat it. It had a taste of cement he said Deserts I had jelly cubes which were gross, hard and not tasting of jelly at all. My boyfriend got some cake thing which was just a bowl of sugar, tried the custard which tasted of semolina and was cole Son had 0 From the minute we walked in and paid the 22 pound each for all you could eat, I wanted to leave, it was the worst experience in food I've ever had in 45 years, I'm 52 and have eaten out since I was 7 with my parents. After tasting a bit of my meal I couldn't wait to leave And when the 3 of us did We all walked out feeling bloated, although we ate hardly anything The MSG content in everything they serve is woeful and there to fill you up We also had 1 hour 30 to eat so you don't eat more How anyone eats anything is a shock It is cheap and terrible quality And we will never return I'm thinking of suing for trauma 😆 When you think you have been robbed paying 22 pound each for a meal. It tells...
