11/11/21 scheduled for a tea and cake cruise in the Floating Grace at 3pm. 09/11/21 recieved phone call saying they'de cancelled our cruise due to their only being our party on the boat. We were a party of 4 each of us had booked an annual leave day from work. We tried to rebook another date in January 2022 but the Floating Grace couldn't guarantee the same cancellation reason would not occur. So the only other option was to go on the evening cruise on the day we booked the tea and cake cruise. The only problem being now was that is was a 3 course meal and dine cruise and not the tea and cake cruise. Floating Grace offered us the place with £5 each person discount with a bottle of alcohol (non of us drink). It felt like an insult to be honest not only had our annual leave day being an utter waste but if we did go on the later cruise we incur more costs for a 3 course meal. Floating Grace cancels and makes the most out of dissapointing it's customer. So we decided to cancel and ask for a refund. One card was refunded in full but my friends card was problematic. Floating Grace said they had refunded her on 08/11 with an ID code which she wrote down. What is strange is that Floating Grace was only cancelled by them on 11/11 so why would the card be refunded on the 08/11?? She looked out for her refund and phoned the Floating Grace 12/11 which they said they had forgotten to refund her. They are either lying or they were hoping we would forget or wouldn't notice or the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I won't be ever booking the Floating...
Read moreOur 4th cruise onboard the fabulous Floating Grace. The Captian onboard (Peter) is extremly warming and makes you feel right at home the second you board the Grace. His knowledge of Liverpool Docks is second to non and his humour to match is just superb. The boat is exceptionally clean and very comfortable from start to end. Lastnight we witnessed a cracking sunset over the pierhead whilst being sat in the middle of the Albert Dock. It was great. Three course meal cooked by Julie was spot on, BBQ chocken wings, Lamb shank for mains, finished off with Chocolate cake for dessert, Well worth every penny, Drinks onboard - Free welcome glass of pink champahne. Then we had beer ( Bud/Carling?Coors just £3.00 per bottle/can. We boarded at 7pm and we where the last ones to leave at 10pm. Going out you have a fantastic tour, coming back you get a bit of music at your choice, If you havent already tried the Grace, its certainly a must. My wife on our first cruise was a little nervous about being onboard a boat and sailing through the docks, lastnight was our fourth cruise and she loves it!! Ideal for a romantic night or a perfect family get together kids included. Already looking forward to our return visit. Honestly its the perfect night out in Liverpool city centre. Call Peter and get yourself booked. Thanks Peter and the crew x...
Read moreDid the Sunday roast cruise as part of a group visit to Liverpool and spent a pleasant two hours cruising around the docks. The boat was clean and spacious, with on-board toilets, and easily accessed down a ramp. The crew were friendly and welcoming and the cruise ran on time. Extensive drinks menu that included wine, a good choice of beers, lagers and spirits as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee. Prices were very reasonable. Had a large glass of red wine for £5.50. The meal was on the whole good value for money. The main course was well cooked, with tender slices of beef, lashings of gravy and ample portions. My only criticism is that the apple pie and custard was cold when it arrived at our table (the last table to be served). But I could not fault the cruise itself. Our skipper took us around the Royal Albert Dock before entering the other historic docks of Liverpool, pointing out all the most interesting landmarks and giving us a commentary that was informative, entertaining and laced with lots of humour. Learned some surprising facts about Liverpool's history. Got a totally different perspective of the city from the water and saw parts of it I had not seen before. Enjoyed the music on the way back too. Overall a...
