Maggie May's Community Cafe — Restaurant in Liverpool

Lady with red hair serving has no customer service skills , visited one Saturday at 2.25, as soon as we entered we were greeted with "there's no food we close at 3!" Visited a 2nd time and ordered 1 cheese sandwich which took forever , as the lady preparing it was talking to other customers and kept stopping. Visited again this Saturday, walked to counter and said we'll sit outside, lady with red hair said ill come out to you, after a few minutes she came out with a pad , I asked for a menu which she brought out , she stood while the lady I was with( with alzheimers) looked at the menu then flounced off and said ill come back , she said we have other customers that's why I'm rushing you, she actually admitted that we were being rushed! The lady who served me expressed how her sausages are made freshly on the day, so I ordered 4 sandwiches which aren't cheap I was looking forward to a nice fresh sausages when I got home but to my amazement the sausages were all rank sour on all sandwiches I don't think this was a mistake as the lady seemed quite sheepish when I collected the sandwiches It's the first time I've been here, I have strong feelings I've been palmed off with the out of date produce with not being a regular maybe the case such a shame as you've just lost a seriously...

Always a warm and friendly welcome, Maggie May's is an absolute hidden treasure. Maria, the owner works hard to deserve the 'community cafe' title and her support of local artists and charities is something to be greatly admired. I personally love the fact that there is also a wall with used books and clothing to peruse and believe this is a brilliant environmentally (& purse) friendly addition to the cafe.
