Ventured out for something different today and found myself at Lodge Lane, known for its diverse culinary delights. I stumbled upon Sham Bakery and was pleasantly surprised. The cakes were incredibly sweet and fresh, just as they should be. The service was top-notch, with staff being super helpful. At £4.50 for all our cakes, it felt like a great deal, especially with the added touch of a little plate to enjoy them on. Definitely worth a visit!

We stopped by this place just by coincidence and decided to try baklava since its one of my favourite, I picked the ones in the photos, it was absolutely delicious, fresh, the perfect amount of sweetness to have with a tea, I think the best I have tried so far here in liverpool, I liked the most the one with cheese inside, lovely! I will be back for more. Yum!

I recently visited this sweet shop hoping to try their Kunafa, but unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming — both in terms of taste and customer service.

What was even more disappointing was the customer service. The girl at the counter was extremely unprofessional and seemed completely disinterested in helping. There was no eye contact, no smile — just a cold, dismissive attitude. I asked her the prices of a few sweets, and she barely responded, as if I was bothering her or asking for something for free.

For a place selling sweets — something that should bring a sense of joy — the attitude and service were shockingly poor. It’s really unfortunate when the staff make you feel unwelcome in a place where you’re spending your money.

Definitely not an experience I’d want to repeat or recommend to others. Customer service matters, and here, it was...

I had an absolutely terrible experience here. I bought the baklava, and it was completely tasteless — dry, flavorless, and nothing like the authentic Syrian quality I was expecting. It honestly seemed like it had been sitting out for days.

To make matters worse, the price I was quoted was lower than what I was actually charged at the card reader, which felt very misleading. I ordered 1 kilogram, but when I got home and weighed it, the box was only 910 grams — definitely not what I paid for.

Overall, this felt like a complete scam and a total waste of money. I won’t be buying from this shop again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. If you do decide to visit, make sure to double-check the prices and the weight...

And the staff that guy need to work in some bazar he is so vulgar I said can you choose a not so dry pieces for me and he went "oh God the customers is this street are all low level customers !
