The Coffee Lodge — Restaurant in Liverpool

I came here for breakfast with friends around 9 AM, and the place was already busy with many customers. Although seating inside is limited, we managed to get a table without waiting long.

The menu offers a wide variety of food and drinks, and we were happy to see that they use halal meat. Prices are very reasonable, which explains why the place is so popular. I especially loved the karak chai — rich, flavorful, and perfectly creamy. The cakes were also delicious.

The interior design is simple yet cozy, making it a nice spot to sit and chat for a while. They also provide free Wi-Fi, which is a plus.

One small downside is that with limited staff, orders sometimes get mixed up. We received food that wasn’t ours, which meant the original customers had to wait longer. FIRST I READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE VISITING THE COFFEE LODGE AND I WAS EXCITED TO GO AND TEST THIS PLACE WITH MY CHILDREN . UPON MY VISIT THERE WERE A LARGE GANGS BLOCKING THE ENTRANCE AND I WAS WITH MY 2 LITTLE ANGELS I TOLD THEM TO MOVE AND I WAS IGNORED THERE WERE VERY RUDE BUT THEY EVENTUALLY LET ME IN. I SAT DOWN AND REALIZED THE SMELL OF DRUGS WAS VERY STRONG THERE PEOPLE USING THIS CAFE AS A MINI AMSTERDAM.SO I ORDERED ENGLISH BREAKFAST AND I ASKED THE GENTLEMEN BEHIND THE COUNTER TO LEAVE THE HASH BROWN AND TO GIVE ME A PIECE OF TOAST BECAUSE THE CHILDREN LIKE TOAST AND I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED EXTRA.NOW DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE FOOD THE SAUSAGE WAS UNDER COOKED THE TOAST WAS LIKE A PEACE OF ROOF SLATE AND I WAS DONE THAT THEN MY DAUGHTER NEED TO USE THE TOILET AND I WAS SCARED BECAUSE IT LOOKED LIKE DRUG DEALING WAS GOING ON IN THE TOILET AT THAT POINT I WAS HURT SO...

Absolutely vile, please avoid this place at all costs we come today and spent £20. Our breakfast arrived the eggs were practically raw and quacking on our plates, the sausages were days old and were clearly re-fried. When asked politely to exchange eggs for some hard boiled, I was told after 5 minutes of the eggs being sat out to return the eggs so they could put them back into the frier. Fruit flies and food flies lingering. Never ate a thing due to concerns of poor hygiene routines carried out by the staff. No apology, no response, no fresh eggs.
