Title: A Delightful Family Experience at Wagamama
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our recent visit to Wagamama left us thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the exceptional dining experience we had as a family. From the moment we stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff set the stage for a memorable evening.
My wife, daughter, and I were greeted with warm smiles and prompt service, instantly making us feel welcome. The attention to detail in catering to families was evident throughout our meal. Our daughter was provided with a kid-friendly activity pack that kept her engaged while we perused the menu.
Speaking of the menu, the variety and quality of dishes at Wagamama truly stood out. With options ranging from classic Japanese favorites to modern twists, there was something for every palate. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring we left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied.
Our daughter's excitement was palpable when her meal arrived – the mini ramen bowl was not only adorable but also delicious. It's heartwarming to see a restaurant that values its youngest patrons and goes the extra mile to create dishes tailored to their tastes.
What truly impressed us was the attentiveness of the staff to dietary restrictions. My wife has specific dietary preferences, and the staff at Wagamama were more than accommodating, ensuring her meal was prepared exactly as requested. This level of care and flexibility is truly commendable.
As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn't help but appreciate the open and airy layout of the restaurant. It allowed us to enjoy our conversations while also keeping an eye on our daughter, who was happily exploring her mini-adventure around restaurant.
Our evening at Wagamama was nothing short of fantastic, and we left with smiles on our faces and content hearts. The combination of delectable food, family-friendly amenities, and exceptional service makes Wagamama a top choice for families looking for a memorable dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit and exploring more of the menu delights!

Read moreAll started well, staff polite and efficient, ordered quickly, our waiter informed me that the steak on my sobu teriyaki would be medium rare (having this dish multiple times in various Wagamamas around the country) this is exactly what I expected. Our dishes all arrived fast, maybe a bit too fast!!! My son ordered a coconut curry, the peppers and mangetout were raw, not al dente, but raw cold and crispy, as he is not keen on peppers he pushed them aside. My dish arrived and the steak certainly was not medium rare in fact In the middle was so rare/raw it was stone cold. I called the waitress over and she apologised, took it away to get redone(so I thought). When it returned it clearly had to been put back on the grill, now if this was a full piece of steak it might of been fine, but as this steak had been cooked in a whole piece and then sliced it was not fine, what was retuned to me was even more inedible, now over cooked but had been cut so thick I could not chew it. I called the waitress over again, she got another lady involved who I can only presume was and supervisor or manager, she asked what I would like to do, o said I would like the dish as it’s was meant to be medium rare, she asked if I wanted it medium, I said no, I wanted it medium rare and have not yet received it that way (this made me feel like it was my fault and I don’t know what medium rare is) So after waiting for what now felt like forever I saw my dish arrive at the pass, the same lady poked it with a knife to check the cooking of the steak, said something to the chef which I can presume was that it was still under cooked and to cook it some more, the whole dish went in an oven or microwave as the steak was not totally sealed. As she brought the dish out she asked me to check it and told me that she had removed the dish off my bill as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience (nice of her) I’m very pleased she did as when I started eating it the whole dish was greasy, no teriyaki flavour and steak you just could not chew, I pushed to one side, she came and cleared the full plate with no words. We paid the bill via the app, no other word exchanged. We visit Wagamamas a lot this has been the worst, never had a bad...
Read moreWagamama is just fantastic, I really enjoy their blend of Japanese and other Asian dishes and would recommend it to anybody.
This is the only Wagamama restaurant I have been to so I can't compare to the rest of the country, but this one in particular is just excellent.
The food draws inspiration from all over Asia, though leans more towards the Japanese side of things.
For main courses there's a large variety of Ramen, Teppanyaki, Donburi... the list goes on. I'm particularly a big fan of the Teriyaki Chicken Donburi, Yakisoba, Pork or Duck Ramen and especially the different Katsu Curries. I really want to sample the Kare Lomen or the Itame on my next visit.
The various dishes are also just delicious. Definitely order the gyoza, you can't go wrong with those at any time.
For drinks you can get a wide range but I always get at least one green tea - you have to. They offer my favourite - Jasmine Green Tea.
As for alcohol, they offer some of the best of the best. The sake on offer is very tasty and an absolute must when having food of this type. How could you eat this and NOT have sake? Crazy.
The Japanese are also excellent at beer and Wagamama offer two of the best - Asahi and Kirin Ichiban. Both are absolutely top notch. There is also a nice Plum Wine available.
The seating arrangement is a little strange and almost made me knock one star off the score. You sit on big, long, benches... which means that you can end up sitting next to strangers. Now, this is perfectly normal and common in Japan so in the end I decided that it added to the overall experience. It's still not something that I would personally pick, but the good points of this restaurant vastly outweigh this negative.
Wagamama is a great Japanese-leaning fusion restaurant with a little of something for everybody and a wide variety of excellent food. Make sure to...
