Lovely little spot. I popped in on a whim and had an ice cold negroni, a delicious small plate of crispy bream and what must be the best chips in Hackney. They had an excellent live jazz trio playing on a warm July evening, and with the melody mixing with the chatter on the tables outside, if you closed your eyes, it felt very Greenwich Village for a moment there. My only suggestion to improve it would be a slightly wider choice of wines. 🎵🎶🎵

Cool ambiance, but the manager – rocking a Cleopatra-style hairstyle – struts around like he’s ruling ancient Egypt, though his reign is more trash than class. His vibe-killing antics, including physically pushing all the customers and hysterically yelling in their ears, turn the experience into a badly staged drama that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with even a shred of refinement. Hosted my 30th birthday at 392 Kingsland Road on Saturday. And wow. wow. wow... What an incredible venue it was to hold such a special night. Angelo and the full team took such great care of us. Came for the vibes, found some of the best cocktails in London, stayed for the food which is ALSO amazing. How is this place so good? And you can actually walk in and get a seat most nights. Don't tell anyone.
