I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Lebanese restaurant, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant, with beautiful décor that reflects the rich culture of Lebanon — soft lighting, traditional touches, and a calm, inviting vibe that made our evening feel special.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, fresh ingredients, and authentic Lebanese spices and herbs. We started with a generous mezze platter, and each bite was better than the last — the hummus was so creamy and perfectly seasoned, the baba ghanoush had a delicious smoky flavor, and the tabbouleh was fresh and zesty. The freshly baked bread served alongside was warm and irresistible.
For our main courses, we tried the mixed grill and a vegetarian moussaka — both were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The grilled meats were tender and juicy, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, happy to explain the dishes, and even offered recommendations which turned out to be excellent choices. We felt genuinely cared for, and it really added to the overall experience.
To finish off the meal, we shared a plate of baklava and a cup of strong, fragrant Lebanese coffee — the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Lebanese cuisine, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service. Whether you’re familiar with Lebanese food or trying it for the first time, you’re in for a real treat here. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

As I sat and watched how good the service was to westerners at the tables near by, I was absolutely horrified especially when I was not receiving the same service . Reason so far is not receiving menus and or asked what we would like to drink. As a MiddleEastern that enjoys the food and the culture, this was not up to the standards. Lack of service from the start!
We waited for a menu for almost 10 minutes if not more and we did not get one until I got up and grabbed the menus from the counter since one of the waiters was having an involved conversation with some other guys possibly Uber drivers but it was not even about orders but a personal conversation but to add to their long conversation is the goodbyes that they had to exchange for another few minutes, we were sitting and wondering if anyone is coming to ask us for our orders of maybe a drink.
Now for the orders and this was also the case again and those also took too long to come.
Al Arez, I am sure you already know that Middle Eastern food becomes more tasty with the hospitality we offer our guests and if that is lacking as it is in this case with your restaurant then the food becomes tasteless and the whole experience is ruined.
Two English guests that I have brought with me to brag about our food noticed how distraught I was and embarrassed with the poor service and again that is in comparison to how I brag about our culture. Overly priced as well and food is ehhhh . I felt I was at a kabab shop.
Al Arez never again in that location or any other and I do not recommend this particular...
Read moreI and my family have been a regular customer at the Al Arez restaurant situated on Edgeware Road for several years.
I visited this particular branch yesterday with my cousin. I spoke to the manager (Adil - the gentleman who is bald, old and short) and asked him to ensure that the falafel and fries are hot. In response, Adil was very aggressive and unprofessional, and then for some reason asked me to show him where I was seated. He walked over to my table looked at my cousin and then harshly stated 'MADAM MADAM it will be hot everything will be HOT!' and so on. I was taken aback by his rudeness and bad manners.
He then began to serve other tables and pushed/knocked against my seat twice and offered no apology. He was perfectly pleasant with others, not skimping on his 'thank yous' but with us, he seemed to have a problem. We ordered our usual, Kafta khashkhash, Farruj Mussahab, fries and Falafel. The fries were stone cold. Adil caught my eye (much to my dismay) and we told him that the fries were stone cold, he then proceeded to hold one of the fries on my plate to check the temperature and then suddenly took the entire plate with him without saying a word to us. To my utter shock, he threw the same fries back into the fryer and refried them.
This is the worst experience I have ever had at an Al Arez restaurant. I will be talking to the owner about this awful experience as Adil needs to learn basic manners and decency in interacting with customers. He ruined our experience and our entire evening. I am disgusted with his behaviour and I am shocked to learn that he is the manager for the...
