Large selection in store but one can also check online for availability beforehand. They'll order the book if not readily available in store. I often send an email to the sales team prior to making the trip to South Kensington and usually get a detailed reply with a reliable pick up time.
EDIT: Sadly, on too many occasions during the 2nd covid19 lockdown books ordered and paid for weeks in advance weren't arriving. Had to call and email to no avail. Staff was pretty rude and curt when asked info about missing books on the phone. - Absolutely nasty when asked to be refunded 2 months after books still had not arrived and my child's assignments had come and gone, forcing us to buy online from Amazon (which we try to avoid!) Asked a 2nd time in-person to get a refund. English Male and French female staff scolded me like a child, argued back and forth and refused to refund for book orders that never made it blaming it on covid delays!

Read moreI just love going to this French book shop and pop in every time I go to London, to the Institut Français or the Frebch Consulate, both nearby. You can.pop in if you are visiting the Science Museum or the V&A Museum as they are round the corner too! The people who work there are most friendly and helpful; they answer your questions without putting any pressure on you to buy anything, and let you browser in peace. On my last visit, I spent over an hour in there! Whether you speak French or want to buy a book in French for someone, you will be very welcome and find what you want there, I can guarantee it. I will keep going every...
