We came across this lovely restaurant by chance, walking around South Kensington looking for something that could inspire us for dinner. The location is cozy and stylish, fully refurbished with great interiors. The chairs are comfortable and the setting of the tables first class. On the way to the restroom downstairs I noticed a cozy private dining area with more seatings, and the kitchen with glass windows that allows to see the chef at work - always a plus! The menu is comprehensive, with a fine Mediterranean cuisine. The touch of the Italian chef is clear and undeniable! Food was excellent, the scallops were my favourite with the best balance of flavours. The beef carpaccio was literally melting in my mouth, and just thinking about it now makes my mouth watering. The pasta was excellent too, with a great personality in flavour. Intriguing wine list - we had a Gavi di Gavi from Piedmont, Italy, which perfectly paired with our supper. Last but not least, the service was great, attentive and prompt. Properly 5 star! A special thanks to Elton, and the lovely waitress whose name I did not catch. We will surely be back and.. recommend it to family and friends! I bet in a few months Amelia’s will be a well established name in South Kensington and it won’t be that easy to find a table just passing by!...

Stumbled upon this cute place when looking for nearby restaurants to our hotel. Sat outside and were immediately warmed by the heaters but we didn’t need them as we were enclosed just enough to not feel cold. Our waitress was sweet and honest, having not tried the cocktails. We decided to try two drinks from the cocktail list and both the waitress and bartender checked to see if we liked them. Both were delicious! The bread and spread they served were very nice. Light and yummy - great starter. My husband was stuck between ordering the sea bass and the veal. When he asked for advice, was told veal all day long. My husband only wished he could have sucked on the bone! So tender and every bite was perfectly seasoned. I had the chicken Milanese and I loved every bite. Again asked our waitress for advice between the chocolate mousse and the chocolate soufflé and she said soufflé 100%. I’m sure the mousse was delicious but the soufflé was divine. We were so hungry, we only remembered to take a picture of the soufflé. Highly recommend this...

The food was good (except the unseasoned pizza dough) and the waitress was warm and attentive, she lifted the whole experience. So it was strange the manager told her off for talking with us, the restaurant only had us and another couple who had finished eating in it. He also insisted on serving the dishes even though he didn't take the order's, and was cold and business like in his maner, clearly he did not trust his waitress.

Please be less controling, your waitress is much better with customer's and presents a better front of house then you do, so let her do it. She is competent enough to know when she can and can't talk with customers, which only improves the ambiance, your canned italian music with...

Disappointing Experience - Hidden Charges and Rude Staff We were extremely disappointed with our visit. The restaurant charged both a cover charge and a service charge. The cover charge isn’t mandatory by law and was sneakily written in small font at the very bottom of the last page of the menu. The waiter could have at least informed us beforehand, as no other restaurants we’ve been to do this! To make matters worse, the manager/waiter spoke to us in a loud and disrespectful tone when we raised our concerns. The behavior was downright rude and unprofessional. As for the food, it was nothing special—basic at best. With the poor service and hidden fees, we will never come back. Highly disappointing!
