I was let down by this hotel, as a guest of Milestone. Which is in there group. I was let down greatly by this location. Firstly the car service is terrible and they have your cars in an awful car park. My partner took his car elsewhere. The food service to the room from a food app, was very slow and had to call reception. Even though they had a call prior saying food is coming, with extra details. Also only brought one cutlery set. Even though two were clearly eating. As we stated. They came later with more but was too late. I shared with my partner. The rooms are nice, I didn’t have any problem at all with the visuals (aside from broken bathroom bin). The location is the area I enjoy, so that was great for me and my partner. Our dog had a nice stay too, I would have enjoyed to not be so bothered by workers with my dog. Was left to wait for the room, even though it was a small room. Was left so long of wait. I know partly I was early, totally understand a bit of a wait. But a wait for as long as It was, it felt very unnecessary. The phone didn’t get answered for some of my calls, this isn’t 5 star service. Was also told we could park the car (this was then before my partner then moved his car to elsewhere as I mentioned). Told he could park in the hotels own car park, the person didn’t come to have this sorted out in the time he said…the man went home! This isn’t okay to lie to guests. What was helpful was when we rang due to banging upstairs, they did put that to a stop. I overall enjoyed parts of my stay. What needed to not happen was…most calls not picked up (not good!), two were eating (only brought one cutlery set), lack of vegan options and nothing done about it (even though in email they said they could make up dishes which is usual and what I’ve had prior in 5 star hotels as that’s what I stay in). Also, I worker as I’ve just remembered said she would get back to my partner on vegan food….but never did! Another person who lied. What was great was the room and building.
Reply to the response:
I get that the hotel have great reviews. But that’s nothing to do with me. I’m talking about my experience. Not others. I’m not them. As I said I enjoyed my stay, enjoyed the room, enjoyed most of my stay….I said a lot of great things. I just didn’t like that we were lied to twice 1. He didn’t get back in 30 minutes about the car, he left (that’s not okay to promise something then leave) . 2. The other person she didn’t get back to my partner on what vegan food could be done, even though before staying I got an email (as I was emailing the hotel) how the kitchen could do an array of food (which is my usual experience and happens in 5 star hotels)…but she never got back to him. That’s why two stars I didn’t add, due to two lies. But this was my experience. So I can see other reviews. Different star ratings. I see these. But I’m talking...
