I came to watch Ajax-Tottenham. Arrived at 6pm and got a nice table for two. Ordered beer, chicken wings, staff asking me if everything is ok. I'm thinking, couldn't find a better place. Then, went to the bar for another Estrella (£5.20), handed £10 and while a Spanish lady (in her 40s) was getting my beer I thought I'll give her 20p, so she'd give me£5 change. Unfortunately she said I gave her£5, then took me upstairs, to prove it (showing me CCTV) but after 10min she couldn't find it, and asked me to wait downstairs. I know exactly that I only had 5x£10 notes in my wallet, as just used cash machine! When I went there, my partner arrived, but our table was taken. I told that waitress but she said she can't do anything. I'm standing by the bar with a beer for £10.20, waiting for my £5 change, with my partner, without a table!! Finally she hands me £5 and says go and play your tricks somewhere else! Really??! How rude! Evening ruined, shocking service from that lady! Shouldn't she first get a beer and then money, so she doesn't forget what she's doing?...

We booked a table for 15 several days in advance for Christmas meal on Sunday 16th December, to discover when it came to ordering food, that they had no Christmas menu and no Sunday roasts. The bar staff were surly, unhelpful, and dismissive to say the least. Of the few options available, the chicken was undercooked (see picture) the chips were sub McDonald's and the burgers were bloody rubbery. Apparently the salad was ok and the fish was from the sea. Upon complaining about the chicken, I was told that was the way it was supposed to be and had it returned. Steamed i was told, it's supposed to be that colour. My advice is don't go. Don't eat here. Drinks are ok, but they have nothing to do with the venue! I've just been informed by one of our crowd that the scampi was raw, and there was coleslaw. .... And the toilets had no paper, the men's had no lights in the cubicle and the other was full of drug paraphernalia and soiled flooring. Would you visit a place like this???? I would give a review of zero, but there is no...

Update April 2025: I organised my birthday celebration at the Assembly House in March. I generally hate organising anything for my birthday but the care and attention of the staff made the experience so great that it took the stress out of it. Big shout out to Beth in particular, she took care to ensure a good experience was had by all by providing suggestions with the food platters to cater for all dietary needs, flexibility with use of the deposit and tab on the bar, as well as allowing us to have our own music play and decorations in the area I booked. The staff on the night were also very friendly and attentive, this was noticed and commented upon by my friends.

I'd been to the Assembly House quite alot to watch the Six Nations rugby and seeing how friendly and accommodating the staff were, the fact that it's a queer-friendly space and food being epic made the decision to host my birthday celebrations at this venue easy. Big thank you again to everyone at the Assembly House for making it a...

A stones throw from Kentish Town station this is a lovely pub that has been listed grade 2 by English Heritage, quite rightly so. It is basically a pub that does have food though not of the gastro pub variety but clearly of a higher standard than many places. A resonable selection of beers are available as are other drinks and pricing is typical of the area. Loos were downstairs and were clean and everything worked, I did not chect if they had disabled facilities. I went for some live music and the concert I attended was their very first one. They did not have a stage but the sound was good and the lighting was reasonable. If in the area a rather nice place that one could pop in for a pint and a meal.

Well, The Assembly Rooms, situated on Kentish Town road, just north of the underground station. A pavillion of a place with high ceilings and a wonderful skylight in the back room. The east wall is graced by a series of engraved mirrors looking really attractive. There is a horseshoe bar surrounding all the 'work' areas. It all looks really attractive. Star Wars stormtroopers have also visited and posed for a group portrait perhaps by Reubens or Michaelangelo except it's monochrome so maybe not. Plenty of beer both cask and keg with all the expected Greene King offerings. Beer 🍺 lovely and cold. A great visit, largely thanks to the staff who were friendly, efficient and just great.

Went here last night (Thursday) before going to a gig nearby. We had the katsu burger and fish and chips. The katsu burger was tasty and had a nice flavour to it. Nice to see different things on a menu too. The sweet chilli sauce was a hit. The fish and chips was ok. I’ve had better in pubs. The batter was average and the fish a little chewy making me think it wasn’t hot enough. But was edible and I didn’t flag it to staff. Highly recommend the blood orange lemonade. Great atmosphere here for friends, dates, colleagues. Just has a brilliant decor and light. Would go again.
