Dear Bam Karaoke Team, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback following our recent visit to Bam Karaoke for the Disney Brunch event. It was the first time myself, my friend, and our daughters attended, and overall, we had an enjoyable time and appreciated the unique atmosphere you’ve created for families. However, I do feel it’s important to raise a concern about how the billing was handled towards the end of our visit, as well as the interaction we had with a member of staff. When the bill was presented, we noticed that we were being charged for wine, which we had understood to be complimentary for supervising adults as part of the brunch event. I did challenge this, and the charge was removed, which I appreciated. Aside from that, the only additional items we ordered were three soft drinks between the four of us. The total given was £25, which seemed unusually high for just three soft drinks. The staff member explained that this included a discretionary service charge. I was surprised, as I had assumed such charges would already be covered in the ticket price for a pre-booked event like this. When I asked for the service charge to be removed, I was told it was discretionary, and I confirmed I would prefer not to pay it. Unfortunately, rather than respecting this choice and moving on, the staff member then questioned me in an inappropriate and condescending manner, asking: “Are you British? Because you have an accent.” She then followed up by claiming that service charges are applied in “all places in the UK,” which is factually incorrect and not an appropriate way to respond to a customer. I found this exchange quite offensive. My accent or perceived nationality has no relevance to the decision to decline a discretionary service charge. This is London—a diverse and multicultural city—and assumptions about someone’s nationality based on how they speak are not only inappropriate but potentially discriminatory. For context, I am bi-racial and British, and I should not have to explain that in order to be treated respectfully. I believe this staff member would benefit from further customer service training, particularly in how to handle billing conversations with sensitivity and professionalism. Tone, delivery, and choice of language matter, especially when speaking with guests who may have had a perfectly good experience otherwise. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m providing this feedback not to criticise harshly, but because I believe that with attention to this matter, the overall guest experience at Bam Karaoke can be...

Read moreI was going to originally rate this place 1 star after my experience with the rude manager that was on shift on 2nd August but Relvin and Dulcia saved the night and the bad review. They really do deserve 5 stars but I can’t bring myself to do that because of the manager. We booked the drawing room for my sisters 30th birthday. We paid for food and one hour of bottomless. When we arrived we were shown to the room and it was nice but abit small. There was 8 of us and there was only enough sitting for 6, it was fine as we didn’t plan on sitting all night but they should note this for future bookings! When we first arrived the manager came into the room, I said we had paid for bottomless and he said “have you, let me check”. When he came back he said ok you have and it starts at 7pm, which was true. When he came back and we asked for more Prosecco he told us that he wasn’t going to give us anymore yet as we still had one bottle left (there’s 8 of us). He said he will come back in abit. There is also no way to call them from the room. The man was very rude, first of all, I work in hospitality and know that a bottle of Prosecco has 6 servings, so the fact he left us with not even enough for one each was disgusting. As he didn’t come back then had to flag down a random member of staff who I saw in the hallway. That’s when I met Relvin and explained to him how I was very unhappy with the service and the person I just spoke to. He was super apologetic and got us some drinks, he also kept checking on us throughout the hour to check if we needed top ups. That guy should be promoted and the other manager fired. If you don’t want to give people Prosecco and be tight with your stock, don’t offer bottomless, it’s as...
