The worst place in the world as a way of treating clients, if you want to be humiliated in public by the management and the staff just go to bar soho they are unprofessional enough to do that. At list once a week I use to go being near my work place and easy to meet with my friends for a warmup and I never felt good or welcomed but last night was just horrible. It seems someone stole the purse of a lady from the opposite side of the bar from where we were standing and they have accused one of my friend of evidence of cctv which were visibly erroneous.I totally understand that as a manager in such a situation you have to solve the problem and of course you can make mistakes but it was a pleasure for them to pour out their frustration on us screaming without letting us to say anything, they threatened to call the police(we wanted because all we want was to get out of this situation)but of course they never did it. After realizing that we were not the actual ones(they said that my friend did it with his left hand but for health problems he can use his left hand at all 🙈) they took us out even if we only bought our drinks without apologizing even worse at the door they were yelling “You did it guy,we know you did it” and all this in public. Was a embarrassing situations but funny too when you and them know you did nothing wrong but people still wanna be histéricals they probably hate them jobs and that’s why they hate they own customers too. Maybe one day you guys will experience situation like that on your own skin so you can learn how to handle situation like this in the...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed in my time at Bar Soho. Myself and 5 friends sat at a table and almost immediately after sitting down a man (who I later learnt to be called Alex, the manager of the establishment) placed a reservation sign on the table for 1 hours time. We were all a bit shocked and exclaimed out loud how it was a bit rude how they handled the next reservation, placing the sign on the table, clearly wanting us to leave. Alex heard this and walked back and asked us repeatedly how he was rude, and then continued to tell my friend to “behave”.
We explained that we would have preferred him to come and tell us that unfortunately the table was reserved, but if we wanted to stay later then maybe we could move somewhere else. Or alternately just apologise that they only had space for our group for 1 hour. We would have been very understanding (although this should also have been told to us before we originally sat at the table). Instead of apologising Alex became very defensive and told us that he did say that and that we “didn’t hear him”.
Working in hospitality myself I would never have expected such rude behaviour from a member of staff, not to mention the MANAGER. I left immediately before even ordering my drink and my friends left immediately after they finished. We will never be coming back to Bar Soho...
Read moreMy friends and I traveled from Brazil to London specifically to attend Beyoncé’s concert a once in a lifetime experience filled with celebration, diversity, and joy. During our stay, we decided to visit this bar, expecting a welcoming space for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Unfortunately, we went through a very uncomfortable and disappointing situation. By mistake, I picked up a shirt that wasn’t mine a completely unintentional error. Instead of the manager simply speaking to us to clarify the situation, he chose to immediately call three police officers and publicly accuse us of theft, without making any effort to speak to us first.
It’s important to highlight that the police officers were kind, respectful, and professional throughout. The issue was entirely the manager’s careless and rushed attitude, which exposed and humiliated us in front of everyone over something that could’ve easily been resolved with a basic conversation.
As LGBTQIA+ tourists, we felt judged, disrespected, and extremely uncomfortable. What was meant to be a joyful night became a deeply upsetting moment in our trip.
We do not recommend this bar to anyone who values respect, communication, and a genuinely inclusive environment. There are many other places in London where LGBTQIA+ people and visitors are treated with dignity sadly, this is not...
