This place is situated just around the corner from me and up to now, every time I go there, I have managed to be OK with their quite-a-way-above average prices, because a decent pizza is usually the result. I have also had their salads which are again above average price but good quality & quantity of ingredients. However, last night after a long work day, I decided to get an 18" 5 meat pizza, a large salad & a tiramisu, which all came in at just under £40 so NOT CHEAP (TBH I always get the 18" & just eat half and have the rest next day - cold pizza & beer = yum). The result (bar the tiramisu) was extremely disappointing. It was like they ran out of ingredients but thought I wouldn't notice. The salad (see Pic 2 below) was at least 2/3rd lettuce and hardly any of the extras I asked for. But the pizza was the real scam (see Pic 3). For their largest pizza, the extra expense cannot just be the dough, it has to be that MORE ingredients are used because there is more base to cover. If you look at the photo I took of it before (I had to eat it because it was hot & I was hungry), you will see a very poor coverage comparison to the website photo (see Pic 1). Don't get me wrong, it's not necessarily the expense but if I have to pay more, I expect to get more & when I don't get what I should, I then start to question WHY DO I PAY THEM SO MUCH?. Like I said, this looked like they ran out of ingredients. Very poor experience given that I have had many good pizzas from there before but will now think twice about ordering from there again. Given the extensive local and delivery-based competition in the Pizza delivery food category, this was a very bad day at the office for Basilico Crouch End.

recently ordered on here from deliveroo, Big mistake. My husband and I really fancied a authentic pizza instead of Dominoes or Papa Johns which we normally opt for. The pizza was cold, soggy, no flavours infused, the dough of both the pizza and the chocolate strawberry pizza was bland and undercooked the topping were frozen, definitely not fresh, I wouldn't mind so much not everything you order is going to be great but a 10"inch Pizza for £20 not including the chocolate pizza (w/frozen strawberries) was such a disappointment.

So glad I bumped into this place. Autism friendly...the warmth and smell of the oven, the peaceful pleasant staff were the exact atmosphere we needed. No crowds...no music. Perfect. The pizza was delicious...goats cheese, spinach and caramelised onion 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

I have ordered from basilico for years back when I lived in Gunnersbury. However since ordering in Crouch End the service has got worse and worse and last night was the straw that broke the camels back. I order for my family while I was out and missed two calls from my partner. I came home to find the pizza that was order at 20.46 didn’t arrive until 22.45. It was cold and of the poorest quality. My partner told me when he called up the man on the phone basically didn’t care saying that we was called but checking my phone the only person who called me was my partner. He then tried to say there was an accident hoping that would some how ease the situation, it didn’t. When my partner questioned the driver after going outside himself in frustration he found the driver walking around. He couldn’t speak any English, I have no problem with this and see it as management should have give him better aid in doing his job as he clearly got lost. I have written to head office wanting a full refund not a credit note to my account. This has made me feel even more stupid being a loyal customer as now this is my 4th complaint to head office who clearly doesn’t care about the service in Crouch End. I keep saying that I will never order from there again but this most definitely is the coffin nail. I would advise anyone in the area to avoid the Crouch End branch like a plague. From now on I will be ordering from Firezza pizza can not stress how much I feel this place should be avoided at all cost. The pizza and the sides are still here in the morning untouched my partner was so disappointed with what happened and having to make something quick for our 3 kids on a Friday night. When all they wanted to do was sit in front of a movie and eat some pizza. Absolutely shocking. The only reason why I have put a star is that it will not post without one but this branch doesn’t even...

Is this the absolute best pizza I've ever had? No, definitely not. But is it the best delivery pizza I can find in London? So far, yes.

The pizza is thin-crusted, tastes fresh, and is always delivered when they say it will be. The online ordering system couldn't be easier - though I wish that, when you order the half and half, you were able to remove things from pizza the way you can when you order a full pizza.

I'm not a fan of sliced tomatoes on my margherita pizza, but as I said, you can remove it when you order a full pie. The pizza ruspante and roma are my two favourites, but we tend to order the margherita because it's simple and something everyone agrees on.

The only truly negative thing (aside from wishing the pizzas were a bit cheaper) I can say is that the one time I got pineapple on my pizza, it tasted a bit like they made my pizza separately and then tossed a few pieces of pineapple on before handing it off to the delivery man. Barring that incident, this place is a favourite of mine.

Overall, it's the best delivery I've found - but in a city filled with Pizza Hut and Dominos, that's not...
