Batterfly Berrylands — Restaurant in London

What can I say about this place that hasn’t already been said, it’s a little off the beaten track but you will find parking outside somewhere as it’s on a long stretch of quiet road. Credit to the two Brothers that own this establishment, their product has been consistent for the past two years I have been going there. It’s a tiny bit more expensive than most Fish & Chipshops in small residential areas but the portion size makes up for it. Crispy and fluffy chips (as the should be) and the chunky white flaky cod is seasoned to perfection. I’m glad I found this place as it’s around 5 miles away from me. There are around 4 tables inside if you want to eat otherwise it’s all freshly made to order for takeaway.

Note: if ordering Thursday - Saturday then try and get there early as they do sell out of fish because they get it delivered on most days...

I walked past a few months ago and saw the modern shop front that was a welcome update to the area and for small businesses. Had a hankering for fish and chips and decided to give it ago although having established a trusted favourite in the area after many disappointing experiments. To say the least, the food lived up to the image and similar reviews I have read here. Everything was on point as it should be, crispy chips and batter, fluffy potatoes, succulent fresh tasting scampi and fish. It’s the stuff of battered dreams. On the mid to pricier end, but for the gourmet and very adventurous and broad menu, delivers good value for the quality and portion sizes! Fanatic for sharing, we were sated and bursting at the seams after our large cod, jumbo scampi and regular chips. Sufficed to say we have a new favourite chippy, keep up...

The food was expensive and mediocre, I was asked if I wanted to pay for a handful of chips instead when I questioned the price of the chips.

Felt like an outsider in this place and for the price I paid I will never go back for the quality nor quantity.

Saddened that my first review was changed to reflect a better overall review.

I hope this place has since changed as they were fairly new, but only seeing reviews 5* leads one to believe of fabrication. Still looking for a good fish and chip store in the...
