Visited the Brave New World for the first time ln about 30 years when it was called The Bun shop for my neices birthday party. It was a very hot night but the hall was wonderful and there was an outside seating area to cool off. The bar staff were excellent and really friendly.. the 3 behind bar make a very good team. The toilets were nice and clean... Parking is on road and free. 5 minute walk from Surbiton station. A nice place..

We hired the Brave New World on Saturday the 10th May for our wedding reception. David and his team were outstanding! The prices were extremely reasonable, amazing communication and the staff were phenomenal with myself and all our guests! 100% will be hiring for more private events. They made our wedding reception a night we won’t forget and we couldn’t be more grateful to all of them!

Went there for a free comedy show the other day and had a great time!! The pub is cozy with a friendly atmosphere. There's a spacious inside as well as a nice outside area for those who wanna enjoy the good weather. The staff were very nice and the comedians gave us some good laughs. Prices are average, I'd say, definitely not overly expensive. Would absolutely recommend this place!! 👍

In general, Brave New World has a nice, unpretentious atmosphere. It seems to know what kind of pub it is and doesn't try to overreach. It's actually nice to see a plain old sports bar with screens and darts and a pool table. Now the negatives. I felt a little under scrutiny by what I assumed was the manager/landlady. The place feels a little sterile and stripped of a greater personality. It does also attract some of the less desirable locals, and the management seems ill-equipped to identify this element and their behaviour potentially deterring others from extending their time in the bar. These individuals can become somewhat territorial and unpleasant. I wouldn't say it's by any means a huge problem and without possible solutions. Just that it feels like the right balance hasn't been struck yet. Shows real promise but needs...

I recently arranged a Hen Party using the function space at Brave New World and it was absolutely fantastic! The space is great, including private toilets and a garden area. David, the manager, was fantastic in supporting us to organise the event and was also our DJ for the evening- everyone was on the dance floor all night & he catered to a crowd aged 20-80! The bar staff were also warm, friendly and professional! I would highly recommend the venue for events as it is excellent value for money & the team are brilliant! Absolutely five stars! We hosted my dad’s surprise 60th at Brave New World Surbiton and the whole experience was brilliant from start to finish. The team were fantastic friendly, organised, and genuinely invested in making the night special. Communication was smooth in the lead-up, the room was set perfectly, and nothing was too much trouble on the day.
