Not family-friendly and very rude member of staff! We had a disappointing experience. We ended up getting shouted at by one member of staff - for no apparent reason. All other staff were lovely and seemed rather embarrassed by the behaviour of their colleague. But never again.
To explain, we were two couples with two babies, definitely no trouble makers. It started already on the wrong foot when we entered and he gave us a strange look because of the pushchairs. So we asked wether it was fine, after all, the place was empty inside. He didn't give us a straight answer "actually not, but ok, but really not...", but when he said ok again we just ordered coffees, paid and sat down. After we got our drinks a different waiter came and gave us two little pastries. We thought it was a nice gesture to give us a complimentary something after this strange entry. But when we left the aggressive waiter came after us shouting whether we had paid for the pastries. We explained that we thought it was complimentary. He got angry and loud and since we didn't want any trouble we offered to pay for the pastries, but he kept on shouting. Another waitress tried to intervene and calm him down. But then an unrelated customer dropped a glass and he somehow thought it was our fault and shouted we should leave and never come back.
This whole scene happened right outside the Cafe with people sitting outside, and in fact, some customers who were just about to enter left. The aggressive waiter (the bald one) claimed to be the owner. We had our serious doubts as an owner most likely wouldn't...
Read moreItalians should learn that good food is not an excuse for being rude. Almond croissant and coffee are good quality indeed (and £6.10 for take away!!!), but being very unhelpful and almost annoyed by a new customer is a big mistake. Not to mention the 0.50p charge under £5 if you're paying by card, are you crazy? It's a coffee shop and people mostly get a £2.50 coffee on the go and probably only 1 in 10 people carry cash with them in a city like London! I'm wondering how people can stick to this place and how the poor staff manages to get to the end of the day being so annoyed and disappointed, ever considered going...
Read moreI usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience. I visited BROTHERS RESTAURANT BATTERSEA and was shocked by how rude and unprofessional the waiter was. From the moment we were seated, they acted as if serving us was a burden. No greeting, no smile, and completely dismissive when we asked simple questions about the menu.
The attitude ruined what could have been a pleasant meal. I expect a certain level of courtesy when dining out, and this experience fell far below that. Unfortunately, due to the poor service, I won’t be returning or recommending this...
