Beckenham Curry Club — Restaurant in London

A fabulous experience. The wall decor may be out-of-place since it was installed for the previous, Chinese-inspired restaurant design. Internally, it looks inviting; modern, yet elegantly warm enough.

We four were pleasantly greeted by the owner. Our coats were taken off and hung-up for us. After we were seated, the owner soon put an extra table on the end of ours to make it look more appealing.

Indeed – it was a nice touch.

The servers were pleasant and sociable to a very comfortable level. It took an average time for the pre-starter (I'm not aware of a better word for this), starter, main course and desert to arrive. Considering the few amount of people, I wish it was a notch faster.

Roughly, it came to £40 per person. This is very considerate when you include the fact that we received extra side dishes for free. More so, the staff was excellent; the atmosphere is great; the location is great; and the quality of the food was absolutely pristine for such an establishment. I will be going back in the future, that's for sure.

I have never eaten here so the review is not so much for the actual establishment but the person i encountered just after Christmas. It was pouring with rain and non stop. I stopped under the awning of this place and a man who had keys arrived and opened the door (to set up for the evening) and offered for me to come in and sit down to wait for the rain to stop so I didn't get soaking wet (or more so). Although i declined as my car was just across the road and i was going to make a run for it, it was such a kind gesture and these days not what you expect from people. So if that's the kind of people working here then i'm sure their customer service...

Ordered a takeaway on New Years eve - my wife's B'day and she wanted her favourite dish ; king prawns special. Did not get of to a. good start as meal arrived 1hour late - thats 2 and. a half hours total ?!?!?? (The distance is 3 miles BTW) This is the WORST takeaway meal we have had for a long time from ANY restaurant let alone the 'curry club'. Oversalted to the point we could NOT finish our dishes and then the 'mixed raita' ; A sloppy yoghurt with 5 tiny pieces of cucumber in it - just disgusting. We have ordered great food from BCC in the past but WILL NOT order from this place again - appealing...
