Sunrise Cafe — Restaurant in London

1 star is a bit generous but 0 stars isn’t possible so that’s what it gets. Ordered a veggie burger and assumed that there would be something in it like a slice of veg or whatever. The veggie burgers around Beckenham are never amazing but this was a disaster. Frozen, dry burger and cheap bread. That’s it. She asked if I wanted lettuce so I got a little bit of grated lettuce but that was it. I didn’t think of asking her to actually put something in the burger as I normally don’t get a frozen burger with stale bread when I ask for a burger but I’ve learned from my mistake. The staff seemed like they really didn’t want to be there and they weren’t particularly nice. The chips were alright.

Edit: I just saw the replies on here from the restaurant owner (or whoever it is that checks the reviews) and have to say that the snotty, childish responses to negative criticism are embarrassing. Putting on a sassy, sarcastic attitude when you get criticized is something you should stop with when you’re 15. Listen to people and try to improve instead of being spiteful. That will help...

We have been 2 days in a row as the food is really good and fairly priced.

Both days I had a Vegetarian Breakfast and my husband and son had set breakfasts and a Brunch Burger Meal.

The food as I say was lovely and brought out really quickly.

The only reason I gave a 4/5 is that today one of the waitresses was running around like a maniac and it was really uncomfortable to watch and made it slightly uncomfortable in the restaurant as she was getting obviously frustrated.

The only other thing that would have been more suitable for us is if you served a milk alternative for the Tea/Coffee just due to...

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY - Shocking service.. went in with my wife and three children of 1yrs, 4yrs and 9 yrs old. My one year old is a very outgoing chatterbox.

Well I was walking behind my one year old when we walked in to the cafe to be greater by a moody woman who said "keep your children under control" I have never been so angry in a very long time, my children where in no way out of control and she was only walking up to the lady to say hello.she doesn't like her job.

Nevertheless we walked straight out and will never be back.

I recommend the lady who works there should get a new job...
