I’ve tried a few other Indian restaurants in the area (on a Monday because bengal spice is closed) and although the others scream that they have won awards or have the best service even giving you a fancy tote bag for take-away but they do not compare to this restaurant. Sure they have lovely looking modern interior's but the service is impersonal and the interiors lack character and the food and service is not as good as Bengal Spice. We’ve been ordering from Bengal Spice for the last 6 months, and it’s consistently fantastic! The food is always delicious, with generous portions that never disappoint. Tonight, we had the chicken balti, vegetable biryani, naan bread, and a drink, and everything was perfectly cooked. As a lovely surprise, they included extra Bombay Aloo as a complimentary treat! We just ordered food from there , honestly we waited more than an hour for the food and was truely disappointed. When we called to ask about our delivery, the guy on the phone didn’t seem bothered or bother to appologise that our order was taking so long, his answer was just “we are busy “. They didn’t even update my order so I know what time I would be getting my order. Food was horrible. Garlic naan was cold and so hard in texture because it had gone cold.
