So I celebrated my birthday yesterday and I wanted to give my feedback:
Positives: -The entertainment! That Queen can SANNGGGG! She strutted and chatted to EVERYONE. I wish I'd taken her name, because she is a STAR! She made everyone feel included and special. The space is NOT EASY to walk around and engage with every party, but she didn't just do it- she ATE it UP!
Even though they seemed very understaffed for the amount of people attending, the staff were friendly and helpful (if you approached them).
The space is very instagrammable if that's something you want.
They didn't rush us out after the event ended, which I really appreciated. It allowed us to get our bearings before leaving, which was appreciated.
Now the negatives š : The food portion is TINY. And it was cold. Also, I asked for no coleslaw on the burger and that wasn't followed. Unfortunately, I knew I needed to eat something as I hadn't eaten all day, but definitely suffered later. I just have an intolerance, but if it was an allergy...
Also, the food options aren't great... They seem quite random not a cohesive menu.
The whole 'people paying for bottomless get a seat, but people not only get entry and must stand'. There are 2 issues with that: 1) Who wants to stand for 2 hours?? 2) The space is soooo tight you can't really stand, without getting in someone's way. Whether that be the staff, the Queen performing, or other guests. It just feels like an attempt to force people to pay extra for something they don't want....
The staff were definitely doing their best and IMO understaffed for the sheer amount of people. So, if I wanted to be served, I had to get up quite a few times for my table.
There don't seem to be options for non-drinkers or if there are it wasn't made clear. My non-drinking guests lived on iced water, which wasn't it at all šŖ
A lot of the cocktails tasted off...š The addition of optional cocktails to the bottomless was one of the reasons why I chose Blame Gloria, so that was a bit disappointing.
I'm giving 3 stars largely for the Queen who entertained the shizz out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was so disappointing :( I came with a group of friends to celebrate a divorce party. At first, the drag queen was introducing herself and going from group to group. We were excited as we had all done bottomless brunches at other establishments and we were super excited to try Blame Gloria. The drag queen increasingly became more and more checked out. She would play a song and leave, she would come back, sing a song and then leave. Eventually, there were a couple of people who seemed quite drunk who werenāt respecting the drag queen or giving her space etc, and I felt bad for her. I can imagine it was incredibly frustrating and unfortunately I feel this led to her no longer giving us good entertainment. She was totally checked out, was no longer tolerant of any fun, and you could feel that she just wanted to end her job and be done. Our whole party felt so awkward, we felt like we were now an inconvenience just by being there, and Iām sure other groups felt the same. It was such a disappointing feeling. Knowing that by a couple of people ruining the drag queens experience, it then in turn ruined the vibe and the atmosphere for everyone else. We were so disappointed leaving the venue, we werenāt going to let this disappointment ruin the rest of our time together but it did...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe at the best time EVER at Blame Gloriaās Disco Bottomless Brunch @ Clapham Junction. The staff are brilliant, the whole show is super entertaining and the service is excellent. We were taken to our table to see we already had Prosecco bottles on ice ready for us, and not even seconds before we sat down we had another cocktail type drink given to us. I love that vegan food options, GF options and beer is included on this bottomless brunch so it accommodated to all of our groups preferences. The venue is relatively small and L shaped so you donāt always see the performance, but the entertainers made everyone feel involved. We definitely got our moneys worth and I would definitely revisit again in future. A special mention to Whyssheblack who was an absolute delight and made us feel so special and got us all up on our feet dancing, sheās also...
