bobochacha Tooting — Restaurant in London

What can I say? The customer relations, the service and the food is absolutely FABULOUS!!! despite the fact that I wasn't the one eating the food, Just ordering it!LOL

I'm half Chinese Malaysian/Nigerian residing in Nigeria and my mum's who's resident in the UK was going to celebrate her birthday on Sunday 31/10/21.

I wanted to do something nice for her on her special day and so googled Top 10 Chinese restaurants near Sutton, Surrey and Bobochacha restaurant was one of them with excellent reviews.

I must confess I've eaten at 2 other Chinese restaurants in the UK and the food was abysmal, 'as in' I myself can cook better Chinese food in my sleep.

So, based on other patron reviews, Bobochacha was definitely where I was going to order from......but a problem arose. The distance was too far for their regular delivery service.

SayWee and her team were 'exceptional' in this regard.

Not only did they carry me every step of the way with the dishes to order, but she went out of her way to organize delivery with Uber on my mum special day.

The food arrived as planned and mum says the food was DELICIOUS! Coming from a Chinese-Malaysian 71 year old lady, that speaks volumes. Hehehe, just watch 'crazy Rich Asians' and you'll understand.

Anyway, I wish to thank SayWee and her team and the entire staff of BoBochaha restaurant for the exceptional service.

Ps.-We really need to add Bobochacha to the dessert menu. It's basically coconut milk, sweet potato,yam, cocoyam and beans.LOL.

A Wonderful Family Dining Experience at bobochacha – Tooting High Street

We had an unforgettable family meal at bobochacha on Tooting High Street. From start to finish, everything was spot-on! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.

We enjoyed a fantastic selection of dishes, each prepared with care and bursting with flavour. The Wagyu Beef A4 was the absolute highlight – rich, tender, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was unforgettable!

We also loved the variety of starters – the Edamame was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the “Shichimi” Squid was crispy with a lovely kick of spice. The Tiger Prawns Tempura and Soft Shell Crab Tempura were perfectly crispy and light, showcasing the delicate flavours of the seafood.

The dim sum selection was equally delightful – from the juicy Prawn "Har Kau" Dumplings, Prawn & Chives Dumplings, and Prawn Shui Mai, to the tasty Chicken Shui Mai, everything was cooked to perfection.

The Aromatic Duck was another standout – crispy, flavourful, and served with all the classic accompaniments, making it a perfect sharing dish for the family.

On top of the delicious food, we were impressed by the great value for money. The generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and outstanding service made every penny well spent.

I have seen a lot of positive reviews about this place and was keen to try this for Mothering Sunday. I tried the Bottomless Brunch. While I understand that there was a lot of people there, it did take time to get the staff’s attention. At one point, there was an error in my order. I asked for me and my mother to get two of the same items and it was incorrectly ordered as one. This meant that there took a lot of time to reorder again and wait for my food. There was no consideration that this would impact the amount of time I had. I was then told that there were taking last minute orders which meant that I had to order my main meal and dessert at the same time. While I was eating the food, I was constantly chased to pay the bill even thought I was still eating and I had not received my dessert. I explained that I’m still eating but they were insistent. I asked for a takeway box so I could leave a soon as possible. They told me that they don’t allow takeaway even though you could have made an exception given that there was a delay in the order. I also asked to see the manager a well. I paid for the food but I was told that I had 10 minutes to leave the table. Overall I am really disappointed with regards to the customers service. I also think you should take into account that where there are delays on your part you should be considerate and be flexible.
