Natas Café Bar - Tooting — Restaurant in London

Unfortunately today I was verbally attacked, when placing my order in front of my child and other customers, despite this cafe being my local and being a loyal customer for more than the past two years. The woman who served me who claimed to be the owner, got very randomly aggressive, after she acknowledged she had overcharged me on my previous visit. Despite taking mine and my sons order, she goes on to tell me, she does not want "my kind" in the cafe. Last time she was not supposed to charge me for my sons waffle as it had hair inside it, which she did not replace but said I could have for free but still charged me, resulting in the overcharge. I agree she will not see me returning to the cafe, especially after I saw her prepare our food on a counter instead of a plate, next to/on the sink and I asked her if it was hygienic, to which she didn't answer however decided to tell me if I didn't want it, i should leave and not come back as she doesn't want "my kind" there at the establishment. First time visiting the place, on a cold and rainy morning. Went for my usual almond croissant and cappuccino test. The taste of the cappuccino was very good, better than the last cafe I visited in Sutton and better than some big coffee chains. The almond croissant was a generously large size and filled a good amount. I was offered a knife for the almond croissant which I thought was a nice gesture until I discovered the croissant was very hard, as if it had been left in a cold place for much longer than the opening time of the cafe. A steak knife would have worked better 😅 The restaurant makes good use of the available space, using small chairs and tables, but with enough distance between them for people to have quiet and private conversations. Using this method, it feels more spacious than what you might think looking from the outside - as another reviewer mentioned too. 2017 : I'm down here for work and have spent the last 3 mornings sat in at joes. Really great espresso machiattos, and very tasty well presented food, which is all very reasonably priced too. Very smiley and hospitable staff, had no problem with me sitting for long durations ordering countless coffees and working on my laptop. Cya again next week guys!

2018 : So happy to be back down here and see Joes doing better than ever! Still a really friendly relaxed atmosphere with amazing coffee and food! Their new additions to the menu are great! They even remembered my coffee order a year on (double espresso machiatto)!!! Keep it up guys...
