My friend and I booked a table a number of days in advance for dinner on a Thursday evening. When we arrived, we told the gentleman who greeted us that we had a reservation for two at 7 o'clock. He then asked if we had a reservation, and we repeated that we did. But even after the waiter confirmed our booking, he just looked lost which was completely unwelcoming. We were then told that there were no tables available but they would sort something out for us shortly with no indication of how long.

After we were denied the table because 'it was reserved', we'd had enough and just left. Very very...

We tried walking in without a reservation and there was one free table in the middle of the hall. Inquired with a waiter who mentioned the table was open for another hour and said we could take a sit. We tried moving the chairs around a bit to feel cosier and to hear each other better (it was quite loud/crowded and my hearing is not the best). The way we moved the chairs did not block anyone’s way although it may have partially restricted some routes for the waiter (though not to the extent that would make it impossible for him to pass). The waiter came up and started to insist that we keep the chairs only a certain way as it otherwise it would make it difficult for him to walk by. After a short discussion, during which the waiter was completely unaccommodating and said ‘I am just trying to be polite here’, we just decided to leave. This was really strange, unreasonable and never happened to me at any...
