Landlord Phil and the regulars welcomed us for my dad's wake on Thursday. Friends and family took over the pub and raised a glass to Bill in this gloriously hipster-free zone. Those who came with dogs enjoyed the garden and Phil did everything he could to make this a great send off.

No heating whatsoever because the central heating boiler is totally broken, obsolete and the whole system needs to be replaced. THIS is a pub with massive potential, if it's invested in properly. As it is it's dead in the water and sinking. Classic...
