An absolutely lovely and friendly cafe, no wonder both branches are absolutely swamped with people. It is the best local dog friendly cafe that isn't specifically targeted at dogs. It is a proper local cafe and it supports local businesses. There is a large space dedicated to taking posters and leaflets. It is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Great range of vegetarian and non vegetarian food that is healthy and yet still tasty and accessible. I was immediately greeted by friendly staff and I enjoyed the table service immensely. I felt my croissant needed to have more flavour but my coffee was excellent and past experience of Brown and Green food has been excellent.

A massive disappointment in terms of service. The staff seemed stressed and unfriendly, which really spoiled the atmosphere. We were even asked to pay immediately after ordering, before receiving our food, which felt unwelcoming. When I tried to order another coffee after finishing our meal, the waitress brushed me off and told me to ask someone else because she was busy cleaning a table—very unprofessional. It’s such a shame, because the food itself is of good quality, freshly cooked, and the buns were delicious. The coffee also tasted nice, and the place is beautifully decorated, cosy, and inviting. Sadly, the poor customer service completely overshadowed the positive aspects.

I loved this place since the first moment I stepped in! Staff was friendly and smiling, and gave advice on which cake to try since it was my first time there! The hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows was good and the cake in the photo was delicious!! I love the way they decorated the place! While we were there, there were few dogs around us, so it’s good to know that it’s a lovely dog friendly café! They also changed my friend’s cake because her slice was much smaller than mine; once realised that, they gave her another slice! Really appreciated! I would definitely go back and recommend it!

I visited this cafe with my 8-month old puppy Bronte. She was lying next to me, under the table, when a toddler who was running around the cafe ran into her and kicked her in the stomach. My puppy had been spayed 13 days prior, and I was really concerned that she'd been hurt there. The mother of the child ran to console her child, without being the slightest bit bothered that my puppy had been kicked. About 20 minutes later, she came up to me and said 'sorry but there's nothing I can do. Is she ok?' I told her that I wasn't sure, and that she'd just had an operation, so I was worried about her. She just kept saying 'well there's nothing I can do', and wasn’t really bothered.

She left, at which point her friend came up to me, screaming in my face 'you should just accept people's apologies' and pointing at me. She was incredibly aggressive and none of the staff came up to help or to ask her to leave. She left and everyone else in the cafe came up to me because they were so shocked at the two women's behaviour. At this point I began crying because I was so shaken and worried about my puppy.

Since the accident (now over 2 weeks ago), my puppy has developed a serious limp, which has been attributed to her being kicked. I'm extremely worried about the long-term impact on her leg, given how small she is (she doesn't even weigh 4 kilos). I've also had to pay for her treatment, which has become very expensive.

At the time, none of the staff intervened. Only the other guests seemed to care. What’s worse, is that I have contacted the cafe explaining what happened, and received no response from them.

The toddler was running all over the place, and someone should have told the mother to keep a proper eye on her. If I hadn't been watching my puppy and she hurt the child, there would be serious consequences. The other way around, it seems, there isn't.

I've been really upset by the whole thing and I’d never come back here. If you have a dog, I recommend avoiding it at all costs. The two women were vile and bullyish, and I now have to deal with the aftermath of an accident that wasn't my fault. I expected some kind of response – an apology at least – from the cafe. It’s...

TERRIBLE RUDE STAFF!!

This place has by far THE worse staff and mananger for customer service in Crystal Palace. Their attitude and general lack of customer care is atrocious. When told our foodd would be 20 minutes - it got to 40 minutes and still no food. Upon asking politely how much longer it would be they responded with not even an apology but an abrupt we definitely told your partner 45 minutes for food. My partner then went in to say "really sorry but that's not what we were told" - All three including the manger became really aggressive and defensive!! The attitude and rude facial expression was appalling and really aggressive. They are not polite at all!! We had actually been in there once before and experienced bad customer service but thought to give it another go beings locals. We found that a table next to us had very much a similar experience with the rude and abrupt staff. When our food came she pretty much shoved it in my hand. Disgusting behaviour.

My advice - don't waste your time or money! Far better places in the palace then here. We live in the area and have good knowledge of restaurants. They are snooty and think they are too good for customer service. It's also pretty...

I recently visited this cafe, and I must say, I was impressed with the cosy and charming atmosphere. The decor was nice, and the warm lighting created a pleasant ambiance.

The food and coffee were both delicious, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in each bite and sip. The cafe offered a range of options, from classic breakfast fare to creative sandwich options, and everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying.

Moreover, the customer service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff always ready to assist us. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations based on our preferences, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

However, the downside of this cafe was the price. While the food and coffee were of high quality, the prices were a little on the expensive side, which may not be ideal for those on a budget.

Overall, the cosy atmosphere, delicious food and coffee, good customer service, make this cafe worth a visit. Although it is a little on the pricey side, the quality of the experience makes it a great place to enjoy a relaxing meal or a...
