Horrific, worst service I’ve received, avoid!!!
I came here with my friend to celebrate the end of some treatment she had. The experience left my very ill friend in tears and really upset me.
We both ordered some cocktails, which we didn’t feel up were up to standards. I expressed my concerns and the bartender insisted we were half way through our second drink and had been “making cocktails for fifteen years” so we were not in a position to complain. The bartender aggressively waved the drink in my face.I found his behaviour threatening and it made you very anxious and uncomfortable. Both cocktails were eventually taken off bill, but only because I argued.
I did pay the bill and give a reasonable tip. There was no apology and a terse tone with me. I then asked for the waiters name to notify upper management of the problems with service privately over email, the bartender spat in my face “you’re nothing, I don’t have to tell you” and the other waitress told me there was no obligation to tell me anyone’s name.
My friend and I went to the Black Lion where we had a lovely glass of wine and excellent service. We will certainly be regulars at the Black Lion.
It’s not in my nature to complain, but I’ve never had such awful service anywhere, the staff are beyond rude, and ruined a...

The food was really expensive. Two burgers, chips, onion rings and 2 shakes came to about £60.
I got the Duke. The patties were well cooked and the brisket was of a high quality ; the fried panko coating was really crispy and accompanied the patty well. The patty was bland and was seriously under seasoned. The burger was lacking sauce which could've helped a lot with the flavour. My burger was the only item that arrived hot out of everything we ordered. Ok I did get the most extravagant burger, and got an extra patty, but it came to £22 with chips ...
The fries were pretty average if I can ignore that they arrived stone cold. They had rosemary and salt as seasoning apparently but I could hardly taste the rosemary.
The onion rings were way below Burger King standards which aren't that high. They had a nice seasoning sprinkled on top but it was so badly distributed; there were parts which were heavily seasoned and then entire onion rings with no seasoning. Again it may be a result of the delivery and packaging, but they were cold, soggy and many rings were stuck together 😞
The milkshakes were excellent; full of chocolate, thick and tasty ... However for the price of the shake, you get a very small serving...
Read moreStumbled upon this place on a Monday & just had a good feeling about it. The decor was trendy with hanging plants (fake, but hanging nonetheless) & there was outdoor seating which is always clutch in the time of Covid (& when you have a dog).
Service was probably the best I've had in London in a long time. It was so attentive without being too on top of us, that we have her a separate tip. I had asked for a dry white wine, & she offered to give me a taste of 1. She handed me a taster, walked away - I took a sip & made a 'meh' face before handing it to my boyfriend to try. She caught my expression from afar, came over & asked if I'd like to try the other wine they had by the glass.
Seriously, 5 stars for her!
As for the food, equally as good. Nice juicy burgers, I had the buffalo wings (not the usual NY style I'm used to, but I enjoyed the different spice on these ones), & there were lots of sides to choose from (we had the rosemary fries & cheese fries).
Bill for 2 came to £32 - reasonable for the amount of food, quality, service, & trendier decor. They also allowed our little dog in - after 3 restaurants turned her cute face away.
Will definitely...
