I was unable to order a Pina colada, but the manager (PAUL) there at the time, who came across as very arrogant and fed up like he really didn't want to be working on a beautiful Saturday 29th June 2024 - 3pm, recommended a Batida (ICE) which is similar. I paid £6 for ICE, no alcohol or any type of flavour whatsoever. I went back up to the manager (PAUL) and he literally thobbed me off by simply saying that he'd been serving the drink all week 🤷‍♂️ . What's that got to do with the fact that you brought over a cup of ICE? Not one part of him was accommodating or apologetic for my disapproval didn't have any solutions like a manager should. He completely tried to ruin my afternoon which is very sad really. Do I need to apologise for being able to have the weekend off? I will be filing a further complaint about the person who failed miserably to resolve the issue. If you want your customers to return to your place of business your job is to simply accommodate, in basic terms, SERVE with a smile on your face and be in the moment whether you are working or not. We need to come together and set the standards high. Whoever so happens to be reading this, I urge you to make sure you're treated well. Please do not settle for cold food etc. Put in your review and share. Apparently the current team running it this summer is different to last year. The manager (PAUL) was totally rude and disrespectful. He is responsible for the mediocre standards and needs to be relieved of his duties. He's an absolute jobs worth.

The positives: Nice views and funky decor. Wasn’t too busy which was nice. Table service. My friend liked her pizza but it came with no cutlery or napkin or offer of sauces - had to chase after this. The negatives: Really uncomfortable bar stools with no padding - in the end had to stand as my rear end was numb. A lot of cocktails were not available according to the QR ordering app but I kept seeing a frozen pink one being sent to other tables but no staff (asked several) could advise me what it was and why it wasn’t available to order. There was an ordering glitch for a while that resulted in a wrong order going through and this was never really resolved - I ended up with two drinks instead of one. Staff offered to switch one to a frozen margarita for my friend but after waiting for half an hour we gave up. Initially we were told it’d take about 5-10 minutes to prepare but it took way longer. We were moved after a few hours which wasn’t a problem but there was a smell of sewage at the second table. Overall drinks were a bit too sweet and too much ice so I’d say overpriced for the area. Had a nice time but wouldn’t plan to return (mainly because of the really uncomfortable seats).

After failing to get into another nearby rooftop bar, we ended up at Bussey Rooftop instead. It’s on the 5th floor of the building, but getting up there was a bit of a mission. The lift is this old industrial type that felt a bit sketchy, and you need a code to access the top floor, otherwise it only stops at the 4th. If the weather’s not too hot, I’d actually recommend just taking the stairs. There aren’t many stairs in between floors, and it’s probably quicker. Once up there, the space itself is okay but a bit underwhelming. The menu is super limited, with only a handful of drink options. Ordering is easy with a QR code at the table, though. The biggest letdown was the atmosphere. The whole place smelled a bit like rubbish and it was so warm and muggy. We came up hoping for a bit of a breeze and fresh air, but the space is mostly walled in and there are no fans, so it just traps the heat. Definitely not the rooftop escape we were hoping for.

This is a very difficult review as I like the bar a lot and come there regularly, however what is really ruining it lately is the food. Tonight has been the 4th time in 3 weeks where we have been thoroughly disappointed with the service and the staff of the food corner!!! They are rude, reluctant to help and are happy to serve old food. I ordered a burger sweet potato fries and a hot dog today and after having to repeat my order more then 3 times I got offered a hotdog someone else just returned as they ordered a vegan one instead of a meat one. Now that would be something I could potentially live with. However whilst I was waiting there was a big bowl of roast vegetables on the counter. The girl was spitting trough it as if it was a bowl of carbage. Dropping veggies on the counter picking them up and putting them back in the bowl. Complaining to her colleague that they should reduce the portions so she can use the vegetables again tomorrow. Regardless of actually serving them tomorrow, who in his right mind bakes a bowl of veggies let them stand on a counter in 30+ degrees heat and even considers reusing them. It’s the easiest thing to make fresh to order!!! I walked away as this wasn’t my food. But then when I came back they forgotten to bake my fries. So she tossed the old fries from a bowl standing somewhere on a low shelf under the cooker back into the oil took them out after a minute. Her colleague then filled up a box for me, dropped some, caught them with his hip and put the smashed fries on top of the rest and gave me the box. I was so angry and disgusted that I would have lost it if I would have actually said something. So I took the box and put it in the bin instead. This was the 4th time in 3 weeks that things like this have happened, always something else but always problems with this specific team at the food corner. Unfortunately I won’t be back again, as for me, a drink always goes with a little bite and this is...

Made to wait 20 minutes downstairs for our booking while staff radioed back and forth about whether the table was ready. Once we finally got upstairs we counted 9 empty tables in our immediate vicinity - just felt bizarre that from downstairs it seemed like it was jam packed up there and we walk up to loads of empty tables and a dead vibe after having to wait. Then they had the nerve to hassle us on three different occasions about having the table back to them after the 1.5 hour booking, hassling us from as early as 20 minutes into us sitting down. Tried to tell us we needed to leave 15 minutes before the end of the booking and I had to produce our booking confirmation to prove our booking time. This is despite the fact we'd been seated 20 minutes late. We were more than happy to vacate the table on time anyways as we had another booking elsewhere straight away, but it was a bit rich to be hassled constantly during our short booking when there was no urgency on their end to get us seated, and also when there were multiple empty tables around us. It wasn't like the venue was jam packed and they had to get people moving. Killed the vibe for us to be interrupted multiple times. To be fair all of the staff were very friendly and nice about it, but were clearly facing pressure from above to move tables on which is ultimately bad for business. Definitely won't be back. Saw a few people having similar issues downstairs with mix ups with bookings etc, waiting around for no apparent reason. Perhaps have a standing area near the bar and invite patrons to have a drink if you're worried about having tables cleared in time. Give this one a miss and head to one of the other Peckham...
