Zaytoon Grill — Restaurant in London

From the very beginning this cool street-style grill earns a five star review; The chef was instantly available to us, friendly and helpful. He was very polote and we were directed as to how to order. The food was VERY neatly pre-prepared, lined up and squared up in the chilled cabinets. Essentially there were hundreds of kebabs on long slewers and there must have been 6-8 different types to choose from. This meat would be put in a wrap along with salad and sauces. Then there was a lot of salad types to add to your wrap. These all look completely fresh. We had lamb kofte with hummus, fresh chilli, fresh garlic red onion, red cabbage and carrot .

The kofte balls threaded on the skewers were soon cooked and sizzling hot. Everything was closed up rolled up and wrapped up.

As I bit into this dish - this wrap - I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The meat was tender and beautiful. There was an amazing flavour and some heat from the chilis. The hummus in the wrap mixed with the meat juices awesomely. Our fingers and chins were sticky for a while! Napkins were supplied in good numbers! I come to this place every time and always perfectly up to my standards no matter the day, I love their shawarma and their peri peri chips. Staff sometimes can be awkward as some staff look like they don’t wanna be there or interact with customers. Though I never really mind since I don’t like to talk much with people. Fortunately the food is always so quick to serve and fresh, taste super nice! I’ve become their regular customer right now! Although I’ve never eaten inside from outside it looks super clean and organised. If I have time I’d love to try to dine in and see the experience. A new find for us in Peckham and really enjoyed it. Although a small selection of food you should see this as a good sign as everything is cooked fresh in front of you. Lebanese salads are great and I had half a chicken, filleted and flame grilled. Delicious. My son had a milkshake that he claims is the best he's ever had but he's prone to exaggeration. Thoroughly enjoyed my food however my only complaint is that everything arrived at the same time and I ordered halloumi salad as a starter and chicken as main. By time it all arrived I'd lost 2 kilos in weight and my beard had grown an inch. Still...
