My review is purely about coffee - speciality coffee, as the owner of this rather pleasant coffee shop/cafe proudly advertises on Google and his premises. Speciality coffee (well extracted) served in a real specialty coffee shop tastes smooth, sweet and well balanced. It can be for example chocolatey or floral and/or slightly acidic. Taste profile aside, generally speaking you need fresh and expertly roasted high quality beans in order to serve anything that resembles a specialty coffee. The matter of fact is that this place uses cheap , most likely dark roasted beans. Furthermore, in a real speciality coffee shop you will see bags of speciality coffee beans proudly displayed on the shelves (ozone, Monmouth, square mile, etc- no bags of coffee to be seen anywhere). You will also see expensive coffee machine, for example la marzocco, Victoria arduino, slayer, etc. Both of these are missing in this establishment, same as knowledge and highly trained barista who can skilfully extract their coffee beans. I can see lots of very good reviews boasting about quality of coffee served in this place. I’m not sure what’s going on here but people who have posted their comments are either friends and family of the owner or just don’t have any knowledge about this subject. Both me and my wife didn’t finish our coffees and ceratinly are not planning to come back here. Lastly, on a plus side, the staff appear to be very friendly. Thank you

It was an absolute delight from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The décor is charming, with just the right balance of modern and rustic, making it the perfect spot to relax or get some work done. I got a milkshake and it was simply outstanding. The pastries were fresh and delicious—highly recommend the Belgium Shortbread! Service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who genuinely care about their customers. This café is an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

This place is way too overpriced for the service and food you get. You have to wait a very long time for food and coffee to arrive and the portions are ridiculous for the price you are paying! The coffee is not worth it and it is pricey for what you get £3.30 for a flat white. The food is all frozen but takes a very long to be cooked as well? Paid £12.99 for the vegetarian breakfast in the photo below and look at the ridiculous portion size. The food also came cold and the coffee burnt. It is such a shame as I feel I spent money on food we really did not enjoy.

I visited this cafe for the first time with my sister recently and we were mostly happy with the experience!

It's a cute little cafe with industrial decor which I had mixed feelings about. I liked the idea however the cafe is quite small and there was not enough light coming in, so the black ceiling and faux brick wallpaper made it quite dark and appeared smaller than it actually was. I think if more lights were scattered around the cafe it could possibly work, but in my opinion the ceiling should be painted white. If this was a bar, the current decor could work!

The food was a good potion and overall quite tasty however both mine and my sisters poached eggs were underdone in the middle so it was mildly frustrating trying to avoid the undercooked bits. My sister ordered the Mediterranean breakfast (but with vegan sausages and bacon) and I ordered the American breakfast. My sister felt some hummus could tie the dish together and I agreed. I did really enjoy the American breakfast and wouldn't change anything apart from the eggs!

The prices are pretty decent and the staff are very approachable and friendly. The waiting time was longer than we expected so if you're in a rush maybe get a pastry to go or avoid going on a weekend morning as it is very busy then.

Overall, we enjoyed the food and would...

Decent but room for improvement. Ordered a breakfast online, the tiniest portion of beans ever. The butter provided for the bread was one pot - not even enough to butter one slice of bread let alone two. No black pudding for an English breakfast. Coffee was absolutely destroyed so didn't get to try it. 14 quid as well, however in my opinion produce is of very good quality. Also no salt/pepper packs provided, luckily was eating at home.

E: Did end up getting to try the coffee (well the half cup of it I was given). As someone who grew up in Italy I don't know what you gave me (tasted like an Americano) but that is not a Macchiato.

E2: I ordered it again on a second day to see if I just had a bad experience but it was actually worse than the first. I got bloomer bread yesterday, but white toast today, and only one of the slices was toasted for some reason, my poached eggs were nuked and every single thing arrived cold. My bacon was so hard the fork actually broke trying to spear it. I have thus removed...
