Cafe Paradiso — Restaurant in London

This could have gained 5 stars, but the awful coleslaw and continuous cigarette smell really spoilt my lunch at this place.

Staff don't seem to realise that the cigarette smoke from the chain smokers sitting at tables on the pavement blows straight into the restaurant via the large open doors. This may as well have been a smoking restaurant for the one hour I was there. Very unpleasant.

Excellent sandwich on lovely granary bread, and quality coffee, all at very reasonable prices, but the coleslaw side awful (but cheap at 30 pence)! Tasted as though double cream was used instead of mayonnaise, but I was assured mayonnaise was used.

Bad experience, especially the continous cigarette smell for 1 hour, means it gets just 1...

The breakfast we had was very tasty. I went for the Sausage and Bacon Baguette and the Sausage and Bacon were cooked to perfection and the Baguette was perfectly crispy and crunchy. Quick service, plenty of food choices to have. There was also barely a drop of grease on my Sandwich which was a very welcoming change. I'm used to having breakfast sandwiches that have grease seeping through the bread but not on this occasion.

Would definitely recommend if you want a quick breakfast Sandwich if you...

I came here a few years ago looking for a freshly made sandwich with the ingredients I liked, now I try to visit at least once a week to order my special.

The staff are delightful; direct, funny and somehow managing to recall details from the lives of all their regulars.
