Read moreBeen here many many times & itâs up & down. It all depends on who serves you. They have a lovely girl who gives you 5 star service, excellent coffee with a smile but another girl who looks at you with an angry face & treats you like you just killed her pet dog. She made an undrinkabke coffee. When I pointed it out she was a bit defensive - made me feel like apologising to her! I donât blame her to be honest, I hated working in coffee shops, and society doesnât pay baristas enough, but I have to give honest reviews. âNo one else complained to meâ , âI wasnât told to dial in the coffee machineâ & âIâm just having a bad dayâ should never be responses - but I get it. Problem is people pay to go to cafes for a smile & nice coffee to cheer themselves up, not be brought further down. Management should be training people but I get it they donât have time too! Ultimately itâs capitalist society at fault. If everyone was paid enough to survive in decent conditions then baristas & everyone would be more inclined to smile, give good service & make decent coffee. If you catch the nice girl or the guy with dreadlocks, coffee is amazing. I think there would be less of...
Read moreBeen to this cramped Albanian cafe before. Came in with 3 people and asked if there was anywhere to sit. I was given a small table for four. We ate, drank etc. Manager 'Don' approaches within the hour and tells us the table is reserved and we have 20 minutes to leave. He said if a 4th person joins our party we 'may be allowed' to stay. I asked why we were were not told about the reservation or time limit before ordering food and drinks or even being seated. He looked at me blankly and said I was being rude and became aggressive. So we finished our food and drinks fast and spoke with the owner. He apologised for Don's rudeness and repeated if the 4th person can come quickly, we may be able to stay. So we left and I stated I would be writing all this in a review so that he couldn't pretend this didn't happen or argue me in the comments of the review. He stated he fully understood and said I was justified. So we left. Very similar place to those Kitchen Nightmares episodes where a rude and aggressive manager...
