Met a friend here and enjoyed a green smoothie— delicious— and she had a matcha latte, all good. Nice enough atmosphere, sweet little place.
However, we decided to try the turmeric latte and another smoothie, as two of our children joined, and things turned sour. The older male owner served us, but then began to say that they are closing at 5pm— it was 4:30pm at this point— we took this onboard and sat to have our drinks as we had half an hour. He proceeded to say that the place is closing at 5pm and began to hoover around us. There was something unhinged about his behaviour— very odd, repeatedly saying that they are closing at 5pm— we sat as he hoovered around our feet and chairs. It was very uncomfortable, and we also had hot drinks and our smoothies to finish. With our drinks unfinished (and actually quite odd tasting turmeric lattes that I do not recommend) he again said (at 4:45pm) that they are closing at 5pm and ‘everyone is leaving at 5pm!’ He said that weekdays they close at 4:30pm and weekends at 5pm. It was a Saturday.
It was an awkward ending to an otherwise pleasant meeting with a friend visiting London, who I don’t see often.
If you visit I recommend you leave half an hour before closing time, avoid the older male staff member (I believe the owner!!) and do not order the sour tasting turmeric...
Read moreMy first 2 visits at Wild Bunch were pleasant. Greeted by the owner upon the 1st and his wife, the 2nd. However this instance was rather bizarre. I ordered my drink and sat down. Upon removing my laptop from my bag, the owner rushes out to me frantically exclaiming "1 hour only mate". I could see the staff member feeling second hand embarrassment from this strange encounter and understandably so.
There is no signage whatsoever on the window stating laptops are frowned upon or have a minimum usage time within the cafe.
The cafe was also completely empty and I literally just got in, ordering my first of what would have been a few items as I was planning to work from here.
The male owner also addressed me in a state of panic as if I was planning to move in permanently and inhabit his cafe.
The smoothies are pretty good and fresh. The coffee is the same quality as a costa, Nero or Starbucks.
The staff were wonderful as well as the female owner.
The male owner should do a course in customer service.
Disappointing but I won't...
Read moreSuch a friendly service, family run and very comfortable environment. On my first visit I was given detailed explanations on what different foods and drinks they offer, and the health benefits behind them! I usually opt for the chocolate post workout protein shake! It allows you to curb your sweet tooth and also have a nutritious drink at the same time. The best chocolate smoothie I’ve ever had. If you want to go for something lighter, and more fruit based, the golden immunity or pineapple immunity are fruit blended drinks with a refreshing taste, perfect for summer time. I also really enjoyed their breakfasts, in particular fried eggs, avocado and salmon with rye bread. So filling and worth the price. Some people have said its pricy however the quality of the food definitely makes up for the price. If you want a quality meal, it makes sense to pay a slight bit more than your usual costa or Starbucks coffee/breakfast. Overall, I can’t fault this place. Great staff, great food and lovely service overall! Will...
