Caloroso Pizza & Bar (Plaistow) — Restaurant in London

Honestly. Great GREAT pizza, terrible delivery. My partner asked the delivery guy to leave the pizza at a social distance (just inside our gates) so we can collect. This wasn’t just for our benefits, it’s for the benefit of your delivery guy and the benefit of other clients he might deliver to. He completely ignored the request and even made a comment.

This whole country is social distancing. You don’t know who we are - we could have COVID-19 and be a danger to you, and in return you might become a danger to other customers. Do the right thing and respect your clients. It takes no effort to walk one less metre for everyone’s peace of mind. No-one else who delivers to us have ever found this an unreasonable request (if they don’t do it proactively already!) and most seem even appreciative. Not sure why your delivery guy thinks he’s different.

The pizza though was perfect. Such a shame.

Addition: Disappointed in the response below. We did NOT use Ubereats or Deliveroo though. Assuming if we had - very similar response: the food is good but I think you should pass on this message to those delivery services as ultimately they are those you entrust to deliver a service...

I’ve been a loyal customer for quite some time, and we’ve regularly ordered food from this place via delivery, which has always been satisfying. However, my experience at the restaurant itself has been consistently disappointing. I’ve dined in three times now, and on each occasion, the service has been exceptionally poor.

Every time, the order was either incorrect or significantly delayed. On one visit, we received our drinks only towards the end of the meal, which was frustrating and unacceptable. What bothered me even more was the staff’s attitude. When the waitress approached our table, there was no greeting or acknowledgment—she simply dropped the menus in front of us and walked away without a word.

It’s unfortunate, because the food itself is decent, but the in-person service completely undermines the overall experience. I’m genuinely disappointed by the unprofessionalism of the staff and the dismissive attitude they show to customers in...

Every time I’m in the area—despite living 60 miles away—this is the place I make sure to stop at, whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food is absolutely fantastic. To simply call it "delicious" wouldn’t do it justice—once you’ve tried it, you’ll find yourself thinking about it long after you've left.

The service is consistently quick, respectful, and professional, and the restaurant is always spotless. But above all, it’s the quality of the food that keeps drawing me back. You can truly feel the care and passion in every bite.
