Absolutely abysmal experience. Avoid this place like the plague. First of all we went in expecting to pay £12 per person as was heavily advertised in the front windows. Apparently somewhere it said it’s actually double that in the evening but was not clearly advertised at all! Next paying £21 each we were expecting exceptional food but instead received some of the most bland, disgusting, putrid inedible food we have ever had. Everything was burnt and tough. All meals very bland. No flavour at all. Then was told at £21 we didn’t even get a single drink included and had to go up and pay once again for drinks at a bar. We chose not too and was given tap water. Hygiene terrible. Food exposed around people touching without Tongs, coughing around it etc. sweetcorn soup absolutely disgusting. No sweetcorn in it at all. Tasted like dish water. Then we went to the dessert section and found ice cream exposed and melting, food being picked up by hand. And products with nuts right next to those without. With the same implements being used to pickup both. Our friend who has a severe nut allergy requested a clean pair of tongs to pick up the non nut cakes and had the request rudely denied. Instead they half heartedly wiped the nut tainted tongs with a towel and gave them back to him. Staff extremely unpleasant throughout. Disrespectful. No apologies. Felt laughed at. Refused any kind of compensation. Another very rude customer complained about us just for standing up for ourself and She was offered a partial refund even though she had no issues but with all our problems we were denied one penny back. Will be making a formal complaint!!!!!

Absolutely horrible service. Almost all the bowls were empty and when I asked them when there would be more food they told me it was finished? We came here at 4:20pm on a Sunday and its not even as busy yet almost all of the food bowls are empty . Very horrible. Even the little food that was out were cold and tasted really bad. The desert area was so small and empty. There was barely any cakes and there were only some pineapples, melon and literally canned peaches that you could get from any stores. Having to pay almost £60 for me and my 16 year old daughter, with empty bowls and having to pay £4 for a glass of coca cola which isn't unlimited. Horrible costumer service, when I asked the manager why all the bowls were empty he said they were gonna be topped up in 5 minutes but we've been here for 45minutes and everything was still empty. The manager didn't try to do anything to help at all and clearly wouldn't even manage his staff properly to ensure the costumers are atleast getting what they paid for. There's another JRC in Croydon which seems like a 5 star buffet compared to this one, if you go there you wouldn't even believe they were from the same branch of buffets. Absolutely would not recommend this buffet at all. Very expensive for very cheap quality foods. They tried serving a whole cabbage in a basket as their "salad bar"??? Would not recommend this branch of JRC at all. Absolutely a waste of money

Fantastic dining experience at JRC Global Buffet! The variety of food was incredible from sushi and Asian dishes to authentic Indian curries, Mediterranean grills, and delicious desserts. Everything was well-prepared, hot, and constantly replenished. Whenever I got to buffet I always get the same thing, Chinese food. The vermicelli noodles here were amazing as well as the sweet and sour chicken and sweet chilli crispy shredded beef. I managed to go through 2 big plates and 1 small bowl. It was amazing, I even think back to it and wish I ate more. The desserts were actually nice, my favourite was the chocolate cake it was better than their other branch (I can’t remember where it was) that I went to. However I recommend they cover the food because as I was leaving the place I saw a fly land on one of the foods. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick to clear plates, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great atmosphere too, perfect for family meals or celebrations. Excellent value for money and I’ll definitely be coming back. I didn’t get much pictures because I was too busy eating but I loved the aesthetics especially the purple light as you walked in. I really wish I got my picture of inside the restaurant. It was very spacious. I definitely recommend.

I arranged to meet some friends in the Wood Green branch. They came ahead of me, so I needed to make sure my friends were there. As I've never been at that restaurant before. The Indian assistant manager who said his name was 'Jason' was rude, abrupt and extremely aggressive! He greeted me by saying, "You've got to pay before". I said to him I wanted to check if my friends were actually here before I ate. He was very stroppy and insisted that I pay. I repeated that I wanted to see if my friends were here again. He had a terrible attitude and said that I can look at the buffet as I said I need to know what I'm paying for. It's a ridiculous policy of trying to force customers to pay for something they haven't seen, let alone taste! As I was looking for my friends, they called to me and I went to their table. I must also add that I have a disability and I'm dealing with a very painful foot ulcer. This so-called 'assistant manager' 'Jason' rushed over to my friends table and started shouting at me! He was extremely RUDE, AGGRESSIVE and BILLIGERENT!! He DEMANDED that I pay or he'll call security. My friends were very upset and this whole experience RUINED my friend's birthday experience and left everyone shocked and upset! There were children at the table and 'Jason' continued shouting at me about leaving if I don't pay. Other diners were watching and it was an awful experience for everyone concerned! 'Jason' then said the camera will pick up on everything. I really hope the CCTV captures 'Jason's' disgraceful attitude!! This will be my first and last time in this establishment. And I definitely won't be recommending this company to anyone!! I have been treated appallingly and 'Jason's' unprofessional and aggressive behaviour was totally unacceptable!! I will not tolerate being treated like that under any circumstances. So, I would strongly advise against ANYBODY visiting this terrible restaurant in Wood Green. The service is by far THE WORST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!! If I could give zero stars then I would have. Because after 'Jason's' unprofessional and aggressive outburst nobody deserves to be treated like that!! My friends and I are utterly disgusted and they too will not be returning to such an unprofessional establishment run by people that don't have any manners or respect to their customers. Staff should be trained on customer services and if they don't know how to interact with customers, then they shouldn't be employed working front of house!! Other customers sat nearby complained about the food being cold and poor service. There were dirty tables with dirty plates on them that had not been cleaned or cleared for ages. It made this restaurant look dirty and unprofessional. Maybe 'Jason' should focus on making sure the restaurant looks clean and presentable, rather than shouting at disabled customers and making a scene that was totally unacceptable and unprofessional on...

Ive come here the second time. Every time I had issues with the card payment system at the entrance. This company needs to update the card payment machines. The money leaves the holders bank account goes into the restaurants account where they use your money that has been “declined” the machine gives you a declined receipt meaning you have to pay again. It takes over 15 working days meaning 3 weeks to get your money back. If understand if it happened only to me but when I went to the restaurant the second time, it was the same issue using chip and pin. After we ate as I left I wanted to ask the lady at the front who I should contact if my money is not returned, she showed me which number i should mention if anything but at the same time another customer had the same issue and she was worried that she would not have enough funds in the account to eat with her daughter! Update your machines! This is not fraud but you are making customers pay twice using the both the finances to fund your business or pay your expenses and returning the other half back! I am still to receive my money back! If it happens the third time I will actually make an official complaint to the necessary places concerning your companies machines and behaviour which will bringing your companies credit score and ratings down! We also got disturbed during our second visit by the store manager who was wearing casual clothes (you would think he is a customer) shouting down at staff just by the entrance where we were seated at the family with babies section. Take your restaurant floor or staff matters to the back/staff room or to the office! Its not a pleasant seen to see unhappy or sad faced staff! They work hard for a living and we could see how both the staff was frightened. One was going to nearly cry! We felt really sorry for the staff who was getting shouted at! Yes its a buffet yes its in Wood Green but it does not change the law regardless! IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IS REQUIRED!

I emailed the company three weeks prior to our visit about how they operate and process halal food, and asked them to give me a list of what was actually halal food in their restaurants, for this branch. Its been 5/6 weeks and I am still waiting for a response! If we are being lied to about the food being Halal then it is for your self consciousness to feel bad about when putting your head on the pillow coz all you want is money money money. We have done out bit by asking and inquiring. I even asked the staff before entry and he said what was halal and what was not but he did not touch on the processing (cooking) using different pans oil and cookers for halal and non halal food! I wont be...

I never write reviews, but for this restaurant I'm gonna have to. I have never had an experience like this in a restaurant in my life. I have been to many buffet restaurants, and I know it is much harder to maintain than normal restaurants, but I'm just going to share my experience, and please read and be aware of what you'll expect.

Me and my partner went on a Friday night, at around 9 pm. The restaurant was almost empty (a bit odd because Fridays are normally busy for restaurants), we pay at the door then took a seat, I asked for tap water from the over staffed waitresses around and their response is 'sorry we can't bring you tap water, go to the bar', no big deal. Then we go to grab some food, almost every dish was burnt, as the heat was way too high, the food taste was okay, but not much of a variety. A lot of the food I didn't even wanna touch because FLIES WERE EVERYWHERE. I understand that the food is out all day, but that cannot explain why there were so many flies on top of the sushi, the dessert menue (which was oh my goodness, terrible, and cheap). When I saw all the flies I honestly was shocked.

One thing that I found VERY ODD is the way the manager of the store treated the staff. Me and my partner noticed that all the staff looked scared, they seemed as if they memorised a speech, and looked very robotic, very sad as it really looked like some sort of slavery. One of the waiters that came over to ask if we were all good, was shaking and when we said we were fine he said 'ah thank god, I'm so sorry' and left. I then turn around and see the manager shouting at one of the chef's, for around 15 minutes straight, telling him off in front of all the clients that were eating. That should not be done at all.

WHAT WAS REALLY ODD was before we left, which was at around 10, almost closing time but not quite, the manager clapped with her hands and said 'FOOD', and all the staff and chefs ran with their plates and put as much food as they could fit on their plate from the leftover food of the day. This may have been normal, but honestly it did not look normal at all. It seems as if the staff were not given lunch breaks within their shift hours and were told to wait and eat from the leftover food. If that wasn't the case then it looked very odd.

I will definitely never go to this place again, it was one of the weirdest and worst experiences I've had at a...
