Carpe Diem Coffee Bar — Restaurant in London

Not many places I would give 5 stars, but this is one of the gems in Hendon, London. The coffee is a dream, strong yet deliciously brewed at the perfect temperature. Strong and nutty flavoured. When you are on holiday, one would think that you would like to try as much variety as possible, but we ended up having our breakfast 3 days straight at Carpe Diem. We love the ciabata ham and cheese due not only to their flavoursome filling but also the crunch of the ciabata (a must try). We also had, on one occasion, the scrambled eggs with bacon, which was also made to our liking. Finally, seldom do I see such excellent service and PR from cafe owners but their attentiveness, always smiling and taking the time to make small talk (to someone who has just walked into their cafe for the first time) makes eating there a joy. I don’t normally drink coffee but I wanted to try their coffee - perhaps I would prefer coffee over tea! I had caffe latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The caffe latte was good that it had quenched my thirst. The cookie wasn’t bad and not overly sweet. It was crumby and slightly dry. The ambience is relaxing, a good place to have coffee with your friends. It’s not big inside so it’s good for solo people or small groups.

Loved it here! Super friendly staff and it really feels like a little community. I had a jacket potato with chicken & cheese (so good I only remembered to take a pic at the end 😂). Coffee was spot on too—strong with perfect foam. They even noticed I was coughing and offered me water, which was such a nice touch. Definitely coming back!good...
