Visited many times over the years. No change. Hardly any assistance in men's section. No staff to be seen most times. Mens selection too limited, while the Oxford Street stores have good full selection.
Kids selection limited too, and looks cheap stuff, not quality. Stock doesn't get replenished on shelves and does not get ordered again by store which is a huge let down. Anything popular doesn't get reordered by store.
Sometimes a lack of professional customer service approach/manner / respect/ proficiency by some staff to customers and other staff. That what I experience anyway from repeated visits.
Food selection excellent, but fridge stock runs out too fast even couple/few hours before closing time at times. Nearly always go to food section before leaving Brent Cross, and sometimes disappointed by empty shelves, but sometimes lucky alternative.
...The store needs more space, and change of attitude and approach to business there. Just my opinion.
M&S clothing and food on the first and on the grand floor of the shopping centre....
I been many time in this supermarket and every time worse experience.......
They got a big selections of orgsnic chocolates and wines
Not customer service at all, staff were helpless, seems like they don't know what they doing! I normally go to buy gluten free staff and fresh fruit....
But last time I had the worse experience....i bought a gluten free bread and once I got home I ate i realised was expired......
Every time I ask someone for help everybody is busy or rude......
At the till they don't pay attention and they overcharged me few times......
On the first floor they selling cloths, but very expensive....
Overall not reccomand....you can get better quality and better service up...
Read moreHad the most appalling experience in the women clothing section. Had a bra fitting appointment, could not find anyone to ask so I lined up to the slow moving queue to talk to one of the two cashiers that were working, a woman appeared from the fitting room with a measurement tape around her neck so I left the queue to talk to her. Even before I said anything she went âI am with another customer!â I told her it is my bra fitting appointment time and according to the booking slot I should 30mins. She then walked away by saying âbook another time!â The rudeness is extremely unpleasant. Then I went to the far end of the women changing room with some items including few of the bras that comes in a box and three of the staff members who were chatting by the entrance, were on my face talking at the same time. Telling me that I should make sure to put the bras back the box after trying. Came out after my fitting and this staff member who was standing behind me was pointing at me to her colleague who was facing me, behind my back. I mean the level of disrespect was palpable! I felt horrible. If they are really worried about people stealing they should put tags or have a similar system like Primark. There was no reason for them to treat me like that. I have a very good job and received a voucher and I wanted to use it in store as I mostly do my shopping online just to avoid horrible people/experiences like that But this experience ruin the rest of my day. They clearly need proper training on customer service. I wont go there again, that...
Read moreNot just this store, but all: No disability friendly self-checkouts. And you'll be lucky to get anyone to assist. You are supposed to place your basket on a shelf practically on the floor, and then bend to pick up each item. What about those unable to bend? Stupidly there is a weighing scale at the height where you should place the basket, but woe betide you if you do that as you have some dragon pounce on you saying you can't do that, blah blah. Sainsbury manage to have a good checkout. Why have a separate scale at all? Sainsbury you just place on the top panel. I complained about this 2 years ago to M&S, and they do bugger all. They are fixing the machines to not take cash coins. In 3 different stores this has happened; the coins all just come out again. They want you to only pay by cashless, as of course less work for them and costs them less. Let's hope they lose custom when the system fails and those with their cash go elsewhere. As someone else commented here, watch out for the stale goods on sale at full price. You need to scan every single item to check its date. And don't be fooled by the 'in house bakery' making you think freshly baked that day. No, they are brought in and not only that, but likely to be a day or two old if not sold. You can tell by how rock hard the cakes like scones and muffins are and how stale they will taste if you get an old one.
M&S decades ago was a store you could rely on for quality and freshness. Not any more. That, along with the customer service, has gone right...
