Message for owner if he or she really wants to up their game and serious about the business.... First of all, the lady was ok in her service, Owner!!!! mate get your menu right, I ordered most expensive item from the menu thinking it would be enough for me as a main meal... When got the food it was simple wrap with very small chicken and some cheese in it ( that's not even enough for kid) and the price was a joke, seriously? Also make menu available in hand rather then a scan???? Where to scan? And explain your items in detail,,,, item says "special chicken" (with no further detail) Anyways doesn't matter about the price but put some good amount of food in the main menu, main item.... I asked the lady to give tea after food, still she brought it with the food and forgot the drink instead.... And as everyone says half of the items always not available, same happened with us.... No Chicken tikka on a Saturday evening (the peak time) you've got to plan your stocking, definitely one time visit only and disappointed place, when you know it has too much potential to be a very good place, owner is really not serious or its too much for him, also seating area is very ordinary specially light system outside is very dull and dark,... Mate spend some money on making it vibrant bright place, rather then on sound system.... Take it as constructive review rather then criticism... Make it a place when traffic passing see your restaurant they should stop and eat and should decide to come again, as I said it has a lot potential but lacked the seriousness,.... Again sort your menu out,... Some items are very expensive then their actual food size.... Anyways good luck...
Read moreI'd been visiting the library next door for a few weeks. The place sticks out to people saying "Look at me!". Kudos for that. Nice chic decor and cozy interior. This place has been calling out to me. But I'm not an avid tea drinker, plus the cheesy loud Indian songs had been keeping me away. However, recently a tea-drinker friend accompanied me to the library, plus the clay pots lured me in to Cha Sha. Was delighted to see coffee on the menu. Eager to place an order, we waited for the man and the lady behind the counter for ages. The man gave us one look and looked away keeping busy as if we weren't present. The lady, after much tinkering about asked another customer if he were all right before posing the same question to us. I said we'd be if someone could bother taking our order. Resisting the urge to leave that this point, I decided to try what's on offer. Tea for my friend but the coffee wasn't available in clay pot. I had to pay £1 extra for the clay pot. Asked if we'd like something to eat, but the nibbles in glass display looked uninviting and stale. So we declined. Whilst preparing our order, the pair, both of them rushed to greet an incoming customer with smiles and pleasantries and both found time to take their order. This was absolutely insulting. I wanted to question them about this overt discrimination and absolute disregard to serving a waiting customer, moreso.
Bottom line: abhorrent customer service, extortionate prices and below average taste. My friend threw away most of his tea! I'm not going back...
Read moreI would give them zero stars but that's not possible please assume my 1 star as a zero,
So first of all I ordered 3 matki teas, 40 mins later they arrive in normal disposal cups and I am told they don't have matki cups! I'm sorry but tell the consumer at time of purchase as we pay a high premium for them, compared to in disposal cups. if u don't have the clay cups then don't take the order and explain to your customers that we can't charge you for something we can't provide, they happily take your money knowingly they can't provide what you are paying for. they offered us a wrap that tasted of a frozen parantha with baby puke for relish and some warmed up paneer in it. Did I mention we waited 40 mins for 'apparently amazing hyped tea' it was so bad basically made from red top skimmed milk with Tesco value decaf teabags.
Upon asking why it was taking so long to bring the tea (40mins) the management comes to explain that they are short staffed, they had 3 staff members only?? I kindly explained to him we are the only 3 customers at this fine establishment that is charging 4 pounds for some mop bucket warmed water how can you blame staff shortages when u have one staff per customer in that moment!!
Don't waste your time go to other chai places,
Remember It doesn't make it a thriller cos the staff dress up like...
