Disgusting service , arrived at the restaurant to pick up order but the owner of the restaurant just calmly took 10 minutes to close the shop mumbled something about "remaking order" so I waited,
The order was not ready for me so couldn't pick it up, the dude closed the shop in front of my face after I waited another 5-10minutes and he said "you must have misunderstood me becouse im not remaking the order" , he then spent another 5 minutes standing at the bus with 3-4 other Indian/Pakistani friends all laughting on bus stop then he got on his bike and drove past me numerous times while I was calling customer support ...
after 20 minutes on phone with customer support I wasted about 40 minutes all togetger and I did not even get payed, probly about 30 minutes writing this review as well.
The customer support tells me to fill in a fee querry form which will take me another 20 minutes and I most likely wont get payed anyway. Horrible.
If order is put through then make the freaking order so if someone arrives they can pick it up, OR CALL THE DRIVER AND TELL THEM YOURE CLOSING SO THEY DONT WASTE TIME COMING TO YOUR SHOP
serious incell behaviour.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant with management like this, I lost order fees worth 12 pounds and over 1.5 hour of my time.
Shame for the owner of the restaurant to behave like this. You didn't even make the order becouse you was afraid of waste but you don't give a damn about the riders time and...
Read moreNice place for a cheap eat, but be careful what you order as it’s hard to gauge portion size from the photos. We had trouble finding the place initially. Tip: From Westfield shopping centre, follow the signs for the bus station at level -2 as it’s right in the middle of the bus station. One table outside for 4 and 2 tiny tables inside for 2 each, plus a counter for 3-4 customers. When we arrived it wasn’t busy, which was a good thing as there was only one lady running the store. Not knowing much about Asian (ie. Indian subcontinent) cuisine, we randomly pointed to things which looked nice in the photos. I was a bit surprised at the £40 bill (2 adults and 2 children), and suspected that we may have over-ordered. It turned out that instead of 3 mains and 2 side dishes, it was more like 5 main dishes that arrived at our table. I exaggerate a little, but we were honestly surprised at the amount of food that came. Food was very nice and mostly ok for the kids, not too spicy, apart from the meat in the mutton biryani. Despite that, it was my favourite dish. In summary, nice place, great taste and value for money, but very small and either go when it’s quiet or I hope they have more than one person serving...
Read moreHands down the best desi spot I’ve been to in the UK. Chai Ada x The Indian Lunchbox isn’t just a café — it’s a whole vibe. From the food to the atmosphere, everything just hits differently. You can taste the love and authenticity in every single dish — it’s proper ghar ka khana but with that street-food magic.
The chai? Unreal. Proper kadak. The food? Full of flavour, no shortcuts. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on both taste and presentation, but they’ve nailed it. And the whole concept — desi fusion, cosy setting, street-style food with soul — it just works. You walk in once and you’ll keep coming back.
Proud of my brother for creating something this special. It’s not just a café — it’s his vision brought to life. May it only grow from here. Big love and...
